    My Views - RockinRam

It's sad because I set aside valuable studying time to watch Rams games every week on my laptop in my dorm room, only to feel like I've wasted so much time in the process. Every week, I feel like it will be a re-bound week, and then I see the same lackluster, sloppy, unenergetic performance given by this team.

*Bradford is starting to show signs of the wear and tear of being punished so much week after week. He doesn't look as confident, he goes down easier, and his bigger throws looked rushed and forced. I feel really bad for this guy.

*The o-line sucks. Saffold plays like he's 5'11 and 200 lbs. Jason Smith made Ryan Kerrigan look like a better prospect than Robert Quinn. Harvey Dahl and Jason Brown look like they are underachieving.

*Receivers and tight ends all suck. No excuses for this sorry unit. Lane Kendricks does not look like the same player he was in the pre-season. Mike Sims-Walker looked 100x better in Jacksonville. Brandon Gibson is non-existent.

*Steven Jackson is getting slower and weaker. He looks easier to bring down, and he doesn't go through the hole with as much authority as he used to. I will argue about this all day. Jackson is aging, and he doesn't have much time left. Caddy is decent, but can be shut down pretty easily. Norwood looks like he is running half-speed all the time. I don't see the coveted speed.

*Our defensive line is sporadic. Sometimes they will have glimpses of what we expect, and other times they are shut down completely. Robert Quinn and Chris Long needs to step up more.

*Our outside linebackers are over-rated. I don't find what's so solid about Poppinga and Leber. They are decent fill-ins at best.

*Our secondary is so bad. Bradley Fletcher and Quinton Mikell are the only ones I semi-trust. King sucks, Steward still looks lost often. Al Harris is ancient, and his legendary press coverage is mostly gone now.

*Special teams returners suck. Jerious Norwood looks terribly slow. Austin Pettis has no awareness. Everyone sucks.

*And where the heck is McDaniel's coveted offensive system? This offense is worse than last year's. Seriously.

I feel bad for Bradford too. The receivers and tight ends make his numbers look bad, the o line is getting him battered. Yeah, we got the franchise qb that we needed - but we weren't and aren't ready for him. And at the moment, I'm very worried that we'll ruin his talent. It's the ONLY reason I was slightly more in favour of drafting Suh at the time. I'd seen Bulger get abuse (physical and verbal) because of the same things Sam's working against right now. I don't doubt Sam is better than Marc was, just that until we fix the rest of the offense we'll only see small benefits. Suh would have allowed us to build from defense, which I always believe is the way any side should be built.

We're a very sad mess at the moment, we've regressed badly from last season and worst still, 90% of it is on ourselves. Awful drops, bad fumbles, defensive tds, crazy penalties...EVERY game we play we contribute sizeable amounts to our own demise.

There's not one game this season we've even competed in. The Redskins were our best chance of a win in this nightmare opening seven game stretch and yet we didn't even hit their redzone until the fourth quarter. With the ***** starting 3-1 the season is in grave danger of getting away from us already. I'm so disappointed tonight. Not least because I'm not sure I see it turning around - and I'm not sure I see anything but more problems in the near future...even if we made big changes behind the scenes. We're a long way off of competing in the NFL, a long way.

Sadly, all true. Nothing to really add. No glimmer of hope for at least a month in terms of finding a win. A season of excitement and anticipation shot to hell in 4 weeks. All too familiar.

I feel bad for long suffering Ram fans. If you are like me, you looked to this year with zeal and enthusiasm as our days of being NFL doormat would finally be long gone. Well, wipe your feet once again, 4 weeks later and it would hard to argue that Rams are not the worse team in NFL. Best news today. We have a bye next week so we all can do something productive next Sunday

I really do not want to ruin Bradford. I don't want him to be stuck with the unconfident, nervous and fearful mindset that quarterbacks will eventually develop if they are pressured too much too often, ala David Carr and Marc Bulger. We got a great prospect in Bradford, but if he cannot develop the right way, we need to sit him. Trial by fire is great, but he's getting eaten up in a wildfire right now.

I'm worried about how this progression is going. I still don't know why we keep Feeley. For his NFL experience so he can coach Bradford? Feeley hasn't done anything in this league. I'm not comfortable with the tips and hints he might give to Bradford.

And yes, the bye-week will be happily accepted. Not a good week for me, as Texas A&M (school I go to) blew a huge lead to Arkansas, and the Rams can't even put up a FG when starting at the opponent's 20. Sigh.
