New Coach , Look At What Succeeds Long Term .

JUST FOR A MOMENT , THINK ABOUT THIS HARD , AND YOU WILL UNDERSTAND . the STEELERS OWNERS , THE ROONEY FAMILY , hire CHUCK NOLL , a young defensive minded coach who beleived that to win games , 1, first and formost , a strong big , dirt eating defensive line that would wear down and beat up the offense as the game went on . 2, an offensive line that was big strong and could knock back defenses all day because they used the RUN , as their chief weapon , 3, a RB tandem of 2 strong hard nose runners that could be switched at any time , and not lose speed or power . now fast forward and look who took over for NOLL , it was COWHER . he used the same idea , the same games plan , beat the hell out of you , then take some monsters and stuff it down your throat till ya puked blood , and maybe we'll throw a pass a few times for good measure , ( ya wanna keep the QB , and WR interested in the game too) . now fast forward too today . MIKE TIMLIM , one of the young up and coming HC's who did what , HE WAS A GREAT DC. and the ROONEY FAMILY knew that , and wanted that. because that has been and will always be their success . and this brings me to this final thought and coment . 1, WHY IS IT THAT THE RAMS PICKED LINEHAN , answer: because it is harder to find a good OC to be the head coach than it is to find a defensive coordinator . 2 , until the OWNER'S - FRONT OFFICE , change their mentallity , that to be successful , you need to bread success, the RAM'S WILL ALWAYS BE , BACK OF THE BUS , ONCE IN A BLUE MOON , EVERY 20-25 YEAR , winners . which is to say , they will win once in a while , but will never be considered WINNERS . .......... by starting with a new coach in the DC mold , ( REX RYAN for example ) who will start by bringing in young college defenders like a CHRIS LONG- DE- virginia , to mold into a great defensive unit with the likes of ... CARRIKER - RYANS- WROTEN - WITHERSPOON - CHILLAR - BARTELL - HILL. and build on the offensive line and running game . than we all will be talking about what about this and what about that and constantly bickering and complaining , instead of being excited about who our team will manhandle next weak , this is just my thought's , and i'm sorry i rambled so long , but 0-7 get's fan's a little riled up .
