New Coach Timeline
With the luxury of having Vermeil then Martz for the last 7 or 8 years, I forgot what it was like to have to wait for a new coach. Let's say they cut Martz loose on the 1st. of January. How long before we have a new coach in place? Anyone?

Re: New Coach Timeline
That probably means the first year is a wash unless we get the caliber of theTuna or Jimmy Johnson...

Re: New Coach Timeline
if martz goes on the first of january we will have a new coach by the super bowl if not sooner.

Re: New Coach Timeline
I am mentally preparing myself for several things:
Who the new coach will be?
Which players he and the f.o. will keep?
What free agents they will get?
Will he be a Martz, Vermeil or Robinson or a Brooks or Knoll?
I guess that's the beauty of this game, there is always hope in the future...

Re: New Coach Timeline
This is my first time experiencing a Coaching change since I've been watching football. I like the feeling of surprise.

Re: New Coach Timeline
The TOP PROSPECTS will be signed a week from tomorrow. In past years, agreements are made the day after the season ends.
If we wait, we'll pay for it.

Re: New Coach Timeline
Your right "tony" In the past its been before the 1st of the year ... I know theirs no way this would happen but I would really like to Jimmy Johnson come in as the H.C.
Wont happen the F.O. wont pay whats needed , Plus I dont think he wants to leave his persent job ... Gray is my next choice ..."Remember its the love for the game ! and our Rams !"

Re: New Coach Timeline
We don't want an unproven coordinator coming in here as HC. Gray, no way. I'd take a college head coach before a hot, right of diapers coordinator, that's gonna learn on the job. We just had one of those. No more learning on the job for this team please.

Re: New Coach Timeline
what about carrol? does he wants to move back to the nfl? we might get some of his players from usc with the high pick we'll have this year.

Re: New Coach Timeline
if usc wins the title i think carroll would come to the nfl, that would mean he did what no one else ever did in college and hes losing 2 heisman winners, could be a very good time to grab some nfl money.

Re: New Coach Timeline
I disagree. The Rams defense should be in full rebuilding mode.
