Sam Wyche. I know he has not been a head coach for awhile but he has the experience, is great with quarterbacks, has gone to the Superbowl. Would he garner any votes with you all?

He's 66 years old and hasn't coached for a winning team since 1990? Um, no thanks.
Where did you drag his name from GChuck. I was surprised to see his name when I went into your post.?
I heard Bum Phillips is available, lol.
I guess crazier things have happened- like Dick Vermeil ending a 13 year hiatus to come coach the Rams. No one saw that hire coming.
No dice on Wyche.
I was watching the 10 greatest QB's of the 80's and when they came to Esiason, the newswriters who were interviewed were saying how great Wyche was with QB's so I thought "Well, he couldn't be any worse than Spags". I know, it's a wild thought but I do have a few of those once in awhile....;)
Very unlikely.
Who's that?
I think that this just shows the poor selection of candidates Stan would have to choose from. If you take out the unrealistic “big” names that could be available, and the fact that a couple of teams have a jump on us already, then I’m afraid that I’m not excited by the options.
Cable has to rehab his image some more before he gets another chance. Besides the alleged fight with his assistant, the two women who said he's a beater combined to make him a pretty iffy choice in the lead role as HC.
There are plenty of hotshot NFL coordinators and some ex-NFL coaches like Schottenheimer and Fisher out there......shouldn't be all that difficult to find a new HC. It's likely going to be someone the new GM who replaces Devaney wants, though. He might want a coordinator type instead of a proven commodity.
ooops...thought this was the Tom Cable thread? Wicky Wacky Wyche? NO THANKS!
Not so long ago people where asking me my I wanted Rex Ryran over Spag. After this season-folks are seeing why
84 wins - 107 losses - .440 - 3-2 playoffs (lifetime as NFL HC). Only three of twelve seasons with a winning record. Last five seasons from 1991 to 1995, 26 wins - 54 losses - .325 with no winning records.
I might let Sam Wyche head coach my high school football team.
I say we go after Kirk Ferentz, Head Coach University of Iowa
I think Ted Marchibroda is still alive?
No WYCHE! FISHER!!!!!!!
