Which new Ram will have the biggest impact in 2007?

I voted for Carriker, which is part prediction, part hope.

The nice thing is, when I look at the list, I realize just how much talent the Rams have added this offseason.

Overall, it looks pretty good to me, particularly when you factor in that (apart from Curtis, perhaps) the Rams didn't really lose any significant players.

Of course, one could argue that the Rams would be best served if the greatest impact addition is James Hall, as that would mean he had returned to his previous 10+ sacks/year form.

Very difficult for me to decide on the projection of these names. McMichael, Leonard, Hall, Carriker, Bennett...

My vote: Brian Leonard, thinking that his impact will translate into a bigger season for Jax and the Rams overall running game.

I'll go with McMichael, I think our red zone woes will be a thing of the past. He will definitely make opposing defenses game plan for him.

AV, you got it right with Hall. He'll be a forgotten weapon on D with the other newbies. He's also got something to prove coming back from injuries the last few years, and having the Lions give up on him.

If he is having a good season, Little will be defense MVP

I'm [U]going to go out on a limb, and say that...McMichael will have the biggest impact but, I thinks someone that could surprise is the studlete from Wisconsin Whitewater. I think he could beat out Hagans, and Hall for return duties.

I agree with everything you said. When I looked at the list it was pretty impresive the talent we added and as you said minimal losses this year. My vote also went to Carriker same reasons part hope and part his talent. Nice post it really shows the progress the team has made in adding talent this offseason.

well i went for AC... dont see McMicheal doing anything near what Carriker will do for our rush defense..not only will he improve it by his own play but the veteran players will not like to be shown how its done by a Rookie!


as for McMicheal yes im glad we have him and he will be a threat in the Red Zone but we were good in the Red Zone last time out...its the couple of years previous to last year that we really stunk in that department!

I agree with RAMMAN68 and would like to add that McMichael will (barring injury) be on the field the most when compared to the list of choices. Therefore he will have more opportunities to make an impact.

You could be on to something here. If Hall is able to return to his pre injury form we could see a level from Little that we have never seen before. Now wouldn't that be something.
