Re: New Stadium Location
If the new stadium was on the IL side of the river, the people of IL would be paying for it. And hey *our* state government is always up for spending more money. I'm sure some of the people in office would even get heft "payments" on the side. wink wink nudge nudge here's a suit case full of cash.

Re: New Stadium Location
I'm thinking that the NFL is going to sneak in the Chargers to LA. They already consider it a part of their market and no one in San Diego is really requesting a stadium anymore. Their pretty much the same in weather, but the Staples Center and LA live would make for a nice "Super Bowl experience" in their minds. ESPN already has a studio there, the Lakers, Clippers and Kings are there...and it has the LA skyline for the blimp shots. Close to Santa Monica, and I hate to think it, but they will utilize the new convention center much like St. Louis has with the Rams. We'll probably see action on this after the CBA is settled...

Re: New Stadium Location
The perfect location for a new stadium is the Chrysler plant off 270 and 44. There would be ample parking. It would be a tailgaters dream.

Re: New Stadium Location
It seems that at this point in time, Jacksonville will be staying in Florida. I don't really believe the Vikings will leave Minnesota. The only real options at this point are the Chargers and the very outside chance of the Rams going to L.A.. I'm not sure how warm a reception the Chargers would get.
Los Angeles has it's own set of challenges for any relocating team (with the possible exception of the Rams. Long history in LA). L.A. is a transient town. Many, if not most people are from somewhere else. It's not like the Mid-west where roots run deep. I'm not saying that there aren't families that have been there for generations. It's just that more and more it has become a place that people go to but are not from. Many people have loyalties to teams in other cities, and let's face it, in LA, if you're not winning there are just too many other things to do.That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!!

Re: New Stadium Location
After today's game, maybe they should think about putting the stadium right outside of KC. At least that way chiefs fans would not have as far to travel.
