    News on Cullpepper

I was watching ESPN today and they starting talking Cullpepper and they mentioned the teams going after him. Ravens, Cardinals, Raiders and RAMS! I'm pretty sure those are the teams I know it was Ravens, Cardinals and Rams and I'm pretty sure that it was also the Raiders. Just thought you guys would like to know.

i dont see us trading to get dante. i dont see why we would give up assets to go from bulger to culpepper. we need help on DEFENSE, not at qb.

    Re: News on Cullpepper

I'm confident that this is pure speculation based entirely upon the fact that Linehan coached Culpepper and nothing more.

I would be absolutely shocked if the Rams were interested in trading for him.

Culpepper is trying to get traded/cut by demanding another raise this year. It appears johnson will start in august as culpepper's knee will still be JELL-O till september at the earliest. Peps biggest problem is reading, and recognizing defensive coverages. I doubt if the rams go after him...

I think that this is posturing on his agent's behalf to show interest around the league. It makes sense only because of their past relationship, nothing more. He just wants to be paid more and is trying to drum up interest.

Heh, I mentioned Culpepper coming with Linehan to the Rams mostly as a joke about 2 weeks ago in another thread and the only response was "Good god, no!" I agree that this is posturing only at this point, but it would be interesting if it progresses to have a Bulger v. Culpepper discussion since I think it's not such a slam-dunk case against it (with all due apologies to the pro-Bulger fanatics out there).

    Re: News on Cullpepper

Its not even the most remote of issues. there is no way the cap would permit you to carry both, there is no debate on that point. trading bulger would cause a big cap hit AND you would have culpeppers huge new salary and you would have the questions about his knee. why bother? It is a rumour wrapped in a travesty of a sham of a mockery of a debacle.

If Pepp wants to be a backup and take the league minimum salary that's cool. LOL

I rank this one with the rumor that Art Shell would be the next HC.

Cullpepper isn't even heeled from his injury and my never be the same again.

Bulger is a better QB, plain and simple.

The Rams don't have any interest in Culpepper. He got a 108 million contract and then has asked to have it renegotiated two consective years.

Sirius NFL Radio was reporting the Cardinals, Ravens, and Raiders, but no Rams. I don't know how that one gets off the ground.
