Where did you hear that?

Martz said it was tough decision predicated by injury at the LB position. I can't believe the defensive scheme is that complicated. The offense, yes, but the defense? I don't know, the Rams could have easily given up on Butler just a few short years ago. Tough deal any way you look at it, but many early indications pointed to Shivers being a good draft pick. I guess if he truly had a bad attitude then it is a good move, but if he was simply a bit of a project then I question the move since he is only a rookie who came out of college early. How many other projects have we carried, in the past, or how many are currently on the roster and/or the practice squad?

A2 makes a good point here. Wouldn't it be fair to say that the scouts bear a little responsibility here? We get excited when we hear we got a steal, such as Shivers in the 5th, but which is more likely...the fact that we picked a golden nugget later than he should have been or that the other 31 teams knew something we didn't?

Sometimes you find gold, sometimes you get a yellow rock.

Coach Mike Martz said cutting Shivers was a difficult decision. "What else are you going to do, though? We're nicked at linebacker, and you've got to make room," Martz said.
Apparently this is not the whole story?

I guess I'm missing something here?

In the past, Martz has never been shy about bashing a guy with a bad attitude as he sends him packing.
