Next Ram to Make his First Pro Bowl

Who will be the next one to reach the next level (multiple votes are permitted if you think more than one will make his first Pro Bowl in 2009).

NOTE: The only current Rams who have made the Pro Bowl are Marc Bulger, Steven Jackson and Leonard Little.

I went with Jason Brown, Donnie Jones and O.J. Atogwe.

Brown has the potential to be the best center in the NFC, and if Jackson has a big year, he could get recognition as one of the guys opening holes for Steven.

Jones should have made it last year and should continue to do well punting mostly in domes.

Atogwe has been on the cusp for two years, and should get in if he continues to be among the league's best in takeaways.

I didn't list Chris Long, but if he breaks out with 10+ sacks, he might get a boost from the fact that he's Howie's son.

The fact that josh brown hasn't made the pro bowl is a traveshamockery.

I'm going with...

Jason Brown - the current NFC PB Centers are Gurode and O'Hara. I think Brown's better than either.

Ron Bartell - the NFC's CB roster is getting a little long in the tooth; time for some new blood. If Bartell has a big season (and in the NFC-W he'll see a lot of balls), he could get some attention

Donnie Jones - No way Jeff Feagles made the team over him last year. Jones led the NFC in yardage. Jones led the entire league in yards/punt. Jones 50.0 per punt was the first time a Punter has cracked that mark in 7 decades, and only the 2nd time EVER! No way!

Mike Karney - Though not on the list, Karney could be in Hawaii IF Jackson has a big year.

The Bionic Leg got completely screwed last year. We have the best pair of kickers in the nfl.

Exactly GC. If nothing else, we have the best kickers, which should shine through if the offense and defense are able to take advantage of having them.

Jones should have been an all-pro little lone just a pro bowler. It's a shame that 1/3 of the vote are fans. Should be completely up to the players, coaches and press. The common man is an idiot.

I went with O.J. and Jason Smith.

O.J. - Should have went last year, and is getting a lot of attention outside of the Rams fan base. Remember, one third of the Pro Bowl voting is from fans, and the more fans know about a player, the better... usually.

Jason Smith - Has also received a lot of attention from the media. Has been on FoxSports' rookies most likely to make the Pro Bowl, and if Jackson has a good year, people will look for the best player on the O-line.

When your picking pro bowlers you have to consider the competition. I think Lauranatis, Avery, Long, Carriker get pushed out because of competition. Bartell isn't going to get the respect he deserves because he isn't a huge name and even though he is good in coverage his interception numbers haven't always been extremely high. I think Jones and Josh Brown are near top at both of their positions so they should make it. I think Spoon can duplicate his stats from 2 years ago where he was snubbed. If Steven Jackson has a big year Smith and Brown will get the recognition they deserve. Rookie tackles have played well and gotten to the pro bowl and Smith is next in line IMO.

We could have more or less it all really depends on how many games we win

I voted for Witherspoon, Atogwe & Jones.

In my opinion they should all have been to the Pro Bowl already - so it is my hope they will get the recognition this year.

I must also add my voice to the choir of people complaining about Donnie Jones not making it last year - he had one of the best seasons in LEAGUE history for a punter. I don't know what else to say really.

Well, Donnie has been Pro Bowl shunned for years, as already noted by everyone. Aside from that, the reason he probably has been ignored is the lack of performance following that field position. If we would do something with it, he would get more credit.

Well, this is the year to at least score once in a while! So let's get Donnie and his robotic leg into the Pro Bowl this season and score some foozeballs.
