Next Ram To Make His First Pro Bowl

I've done polls like this in prior years but, alas, the Rams have not had much success sending players to the NFL's All-Star Game (which, incidentally, might not be an actual game in the future).

Right now, the Rams have four players who have made a Pro Bowl: Steven Jackson, Scott Wells, Quintin Mikell and Cortland Finnegan.

Who will be the next one to make his first?

For me it's got to be Chris Long. The dude has become an absolute beast. 13 sacks last year and hopefully more this year should make voters outside of St. Louis take notice. Wouldn't be surprised if Harvey Dahl made it either.

I'd say it's a coin flip between Long and Laurinaitis. If Brockers is as much a blocker absorption specialist as we think, BOTH will greatly benefit.

With a supposed upgrade in our secondary I'm going with Chris Long piling up the sacks!

While I think Chris Long is a strong contender, I voted for JLau. He was a very close contender last year and I would say with Brockers in front of him, he'll be able to make even more plays. CLong will likely benefit from having Quinn on the other side pressuring the QB, making teams account for both DE's. Admittedly, they both deserve close scrutiny and it wouldn't shock me if they both made it. You also have to consider the competition from others in the NFC and there more DE's that deserve the honor than MLB's.

    Go Rams!

Long is the easy choice here, without a doubt. But I'd like to give Sam Bradford a chance here as well. I think he really can become a top tier QB under the right circumstances, as much as I may have had my doubts (mostly out of frustration) last year. Hopefully the offense will be tailored enough around the talent around Bradford and Bradford himself.

Long and it's not even close. Laurenitus is 2nd tier. Bradford still has to prove himself let alone become Pro Bowl material.

Long will finally not be double teamed with Langford and brockers. This is Longs breakout year.

Bradford has to compete with Brees, Rodgers and Stafford, Manning so I don't think Sam will ahve a chance unfortunatly!! I think it has to be Chris Long!

Pretty hard to argue with Long, who made a strong case last year. Laurinaitis is right there as well IMO.

Exactly what I was thinking. On top of those you mentioned he also has to compete with the Cam Newton hype train which got him into the pro bowl over Stafford. RG3 could get some of that love as well.

The big question is: Will there even be a pro bowl to make?

Apparently yes. Even if the actual game is discontinued, league sources have said there would still be pro bowl voting to "identify the seasons top players".

Gotta be Chris Long. 13 sacks last season, and he's got that contract year motivation running.

Coupled with a revamped secondary, and revamped D-Line around him.

    Watch out for CLong

Re: Next Ram To Make His First Pro Bowl

Long will probably be the next one. If he has another 13 sack season next year he will be in. JL will need some super stellar seasons to get in imo. He doesnt get alot of sacks, or turnovers, so it would be next to impossible for him to get in just racking up tackles alone. If brockers and langford and co, play up to and beyong expectations. And JL doesnt have a super stellar season, he probably will never make the pro bowl unless he becomes an alternate. I just dont see JL as a game changer or a big play maker. Too many times i see him on the wrong side of a hit while making a tackle (on his back). But he is a solid player becuase he rarely missing a tackle and is always around the ball.
