The Nfc West
Playoffs can still be a possibility next year. Look at the teams in our division....
1)San Fran: still looking for a QB and Mike Martz is their OC. Martz is only good with QBs that have a fast release and San Fran has nothing like this. Gore may even see less of the ball with Martz making the Calls. Also. Nolan + Martz= disaster.
2) Seattle: Holmgren may be gone? Alexander on a fast downfall. Defense good but for most part inconsistent. Will still be a contender unless Holmgren leaves.
3) Arizona: Arizona is still Arizona. Leinart is not the answer. Will Fitzgerald stay?
overall this is a pretty sad division and we can still win it with a few good pickups and draft picks.

Re: The Nfc West
everything u say is true but what can the rams do in order to shore up their line... like in 99' when the rams picked up adam timmerman to shore up their line, the same needs to be done this offseason..
does anyone know what other o-lineman are out there other than alan fanaca

Re: The Nfc West
i see your point. but our coach situation is just as bad as San Francisco. we dont have a good coach.
youre partially right though. with a few good pickups and draft picks, we'll be a strong team. HOWEVER, we need to stay healthy. our team was crushed because of injuries and bad play calling.

Re: The Nfc West
Linehan is 3-9 against the division in his career. 0-4 against Seattle, 2-2 against the *****, and 1-3 against Arizona.
I doubt he has it in him to coach this team to victory against their divisional foes.

^^^^
we can only hope our team stays healthy. his job is on the line. hes probably going to coach harder than he ever has before. hes going to do something different this year for sure (Hopefully for the best.)
he have a really good team when we stay healthy. we could take on a majority of the teams in the NFL (on paper)

Re: The Nfc West
FWIW....he went 2-4 against the division in "the great 2006 campaign", and one of those two game as the result of a gift fumble by Kurt Warner.

Re: The Nfc West
For all of you saying that Martz is a great OC but a terrible HC (which is bunk but I digress), you better watch SF. Smith hasn't had a decent OC to work with. The pieces are in place for SF to bust out, especially if they have a great draft.

Re: The Nfc West
We will go to the playoffs next year, I have a feeling. Then again I always
have that feeling, LOL.. If we do go, that might save scotts job far another
year and im not sure we want to do that.
