    NFC West = NFL's Best

Long gone are the days of the NFC-West being the doormat of the NFL. No more league wide jokes of a 7-9 division champion. Oh no.

Today, the NFC-West stands as the top division in the league, and folks....it's not even close.

When looking at total wins by division, the AFC-South struggled with only 24 wins. The NFC-East and NFC-North didn't fare much better with 28 wins. The AFC-North and NFC-South ended with a respectable 31 wins each. The AFC-East came in 3rd with 34 wins. The AFC-West brings home the silver with 37 wins. But the NFC-West is in the top spot with 42 wins! No division has put up more than 40 wins since the AFC-South put up 42 in 2007.

As well, if you look at the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place finishers in each division, the NFC-West sits atop each spot:

---The Seahawks 13 wins ties them with the Broncos for the top division winner.
---The whiners 12 wins puts them ahead of the Saints and Chiefs (both with 11).
---The Cards 10 wins puts them ahead of the Chargers 9 wins.
---And last, but not least, the Rams 7 wins puts them ahead of the Bills 6 wins.
    Iaurdae likes this.

"Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

So the bottom line right now is that we have at the very least 6 tough games on our 2014 regular season schedule, all being NFC West opponents!!!!

And this illustrates why fans are impatient. Niners, Seahawks and Cardinals all laughingstocks 3 years ago, just as we were. Today, two of them are in the NFC title game and the Cardinals were 10-6. It should absolutely burn your ass to watch these two teams play for the title on Sunday. Don't tell me it takes 5-6 years to get it done.

    We need another good draft.
We need our young guys and high picks to take the next step.
    We need a healthy Bradford.

Nothing short of a playoff bid in 2014 will be acceptable.

But surely any sensible fan will realise that the Rams have it much harder given the fact that the Cards, Seahawks and Niners all won 10 games or more?

Everyone who watched the team this season knows the Rams would have won the NFC North or NFC East. But getting in the playoffs is so much harder given that the Rams have to top the NFLs hardest division

Youngest team in the league, two 1st rounders, receiving corps has another years experience, and the scariest d-line in the game? We have to be in the best shape in this division for years to come. Coaching this team up to standards is probably the biggest task of all. playoffs are comming

Re: NFC West = NFL's Best

I predict 49whinner and Denver to be in the SB. Reasons are pretty simple actually. It seems the tougher your division is the tougher your team is.

As for the 49whinners they and too many teams have figured out how to deal with Wilson. That just leaves Lynch, but against the 49whinner defense, I don't think he can rack enough yards to be that big a difference. Seagulls defense has to step up big time to give them any real chance.

Denver and Pats, Denver comes from a tougher division. Now if the Pats coaching staff can get inside Payton's head, maybe. But being pit against the Chiefs and Charger I believe has sharpened the Broncos.

At the start of the year I seriously thought the Rams where in prime contention to challenge for the title, but I still hold it was not a failure of personal, but a poor use of that personal. If there is a need for talent despite as many top 10 picks on the Rams team, its the Brains that needs the first upgrade--someone has to see the talent the Rams have and forge it into a championship team
