I like the pick. The RB battle in camp will be very interesting.

very happy with this pick, he's a little bulldozer.

if all goes to plan we'll have Pead tearing it up with his burst and elusiveness and then Stacy just hammering through the pile

That's not the first time I've read that he doesn't have speed, but if you view his highlights you may come away with a different perspective. Looks plenty fast enough to me, and may be the steal of our draft.

Honestly I never heard of Stacy but watching him and reading up on him and seeing what Fisher thinks about him I'm going to be damn interested in this up and coming RB battle as Av stated!

Wow, that's an eye opener! Glad to see Stacy / Rams sharing a great, mutual opportunity.

Maybe this youngster is our 'Maurice Jones-Drew'!

He was rated on Nfl.com just below Leveon Bell and Christine Michael FWIW.

    Johnathan Franklin 72.3
    Christine Michael 71.4
    Leveon Bell 71.2
    Zac Stacy 69.0

i'm still wondering how he's about 75 pounds heavier than i am at the same height...while he's built like a brick, but actually hides it really well lol
course i haven't lifted in a while...but i definitely couldn't put on 40 pounds comfortably imo let alone 75 rofl

pretty speedy at his size if i do say so myself

i thought curtis mcneal from SC was big at 5'8" 195...

citr92, it is well known on this board that when you were coming out of college you had much better speed than this guy and much better hands, to say nothing for your 29 reps on the bench at 225. Your rambros are all of the view that you are no more than 6-8 weeks from the same physical condition as Stacy.

    ramming speed to all

The main reason this guy will see a lot of playing time is that he can pass protect

Re: NFL DRAFT: With 160th pick, the Rams select ZAC STACY (RB, Vanderbilt)

All the reviews talk of his strength. If he can get the butter ball butt with thunder thighs of muscle, he could be our starter very soon. His 40x is slower than you'd like but his 3-cones, 20 yard and shuttle are faster than most of the top RBs in the draft. RB doesn't have to have that 3rd gear to survive in the NFL, he needs to be fast at making one cut and hitting the hole or have the speed to threaten a sweep. Stacy appears to have that. Height in a RB means absolutely zilch if they have the thighs.

Knile Davis as an example would appear to be a great prospect with that 4.35 speed but he's actually very slow in the cones and shuttle. Slower than Zac.

I think Stacy is a great value pick. For comparison:

    Lacy 204C 1322yds 6.5ypc
The rest of his team 362C 1877yds 5.2ypc

    Stacy 207C 1141yds 5.5ypc
The rest of this team 205C 957yds 4.6ypc

I think Stacy's production stacks up quite nicely without having spent a premium pick, and he didn't have as much talent around him.

    Great videos Rambos! Thanks.

Wow! This little man has some punch and a playmaker attitude. I had thought of this RB like the Jags Maurice Jones-Drew but perhaps more as in Ray Rice of the Ravens. Powerful cannon / bowling balls. Liking the ZStacy pick more and more!
