Losing the second rounder will sting...but not as bad when you still have 22 ahead! Got no problem with tossing in the seventh.

I'm somewhat bittersweet with this pick but he's a mismatch nightmare against opposing defenses. This offense is gonna be exciting to watch with him making movements from the line of scrimmage to the backfield or vice versa.

Thrilled with the move. Price was reasonable. Snead and Fisher continue to impress.

So we've spent free agent dollars on a big slot receiver. And now we've spent two of our first three picks on a small slot receiver.

---sigh--- I'm just not feeling good about it yet.

I think the mistake Hub is that you're thinking of him as just a slot receiver. Tavon Austin excelled in college by lining up all over the field. That's how the Rams need to use him.

Already got an email from NFL Shops to order his jersey... It can be shipped after his number is decided. I think he should stay with "1"...

The Cook factor concerns me as well, but the Rams have to have a pretty good plan on how to use both if they not only drafted Austin but traded up to do it. I'm anxious to see what they have up their sleeves. Maybe they don't plan on using Cook in the slot quite as much as everyone assumed, or they envision a lot of motion and four-wide sets with Cook as one of those receivers.

And he's going to take punts/kickoffs to the house.

More from Softli: "Rams Offensive Coordinator Brian Schottenheimer had a big smile on his face as he exit the Rams War Room after Tavon Austin became a Ram."

KR, PR, Slot WR, Outside WR, HB.. The ultimate mismatch that this league has to offer. Can't hate! The difference between Spags and Fisher? With Fisher we have speedy guys like Austin, Givens, Pead... With Spags? We were arguably one of the SLOWEST teams in NFL history, and that's myself being serious.
