Re: NFL power rankings (Rams move up)
"If the Rams keep playing defense like they are, they're going to be in contention in the NFC all season. They're already plus-seven in turnover differential."
About right for now...middle of the pack...we got an exciting season ahead of us.

Re: NFL power rankings (Rams move up)
i cant understand how a 3-0 team with a backfield of Reggie Bush and Deuce McAllister, and who destroyed Mike Vick and Atlanta just days ago is only 14th in the rankings, while Atlanta and a few teams with worse records are above them.

Re: NFL power rankings (Rams move up)
The Saints defense is the excuse the experts are using. The Saints train will come to a screeching halt sooner than later. The Saints win over the Falcons was total adrenaline and they played the Falcons smart. Contain Vick and the running game. Vick is a less than average passer that game proved it once again.

Also, from what I heard yesterday, the easy part of the Saints schedule is now over. From here on out, their schedule is BRUTAL!

Re: NFL power rankings (Rams move up)
The defensive game plans they have been using are pretty impressive.Their young coaching staff really has them prepared. The Saints defense is the excuse the experts are using.
Tampa Bay is Brutal? No qb and no sign of life. I also think they will beat Carolina. I dont think anyone could honestly say that the Saints are not a top ten team right now. They should be 5-0 to start the season. From here on out, their schedule is BRUTAL!
I remeber when the GSOT was born, early on many said that the Rams were not that good. That they would come back down to Earth. Its a long season but as of now I would say the Saints have a very legitimate shot at taking down that division.LET'S GO DODGERS

Re: NFL power rankings (Rams move up)
the power rankings also takes into consideration the strength of the teams played so far. look at pittsburgh, they played the dolphins, jags, and bengals thats a tought stretch...

Re: NFL power rankings (Rams move up)
Rankings are always a very dodgy proposition because of the problems you get yourself into when you try and rank teams like the Saints. Their past is awful but their future is bright, but as none of the pundits has a crystal ball (or come to think of it, just the balls)with which to put their name on the Saints as an up and coming team.
3-0? You have to take these boys seriously.
