A trip to an NFL stadium to watch a pro football game is no small undertaking these days. It's a major investment in time and especially money, though it's an investment that millions of Americans are all too happy to make over and over again. Last month we set out to gauge just how happy the paying customer -- you -- are with your local NFL product. What are you getting in return for your patronage? We asked readers to complete an extensive online survey ranking their hometown NFL stadium in everything from ticket prices to hospitality to the product on the field -- winning matters, after all. Nearly a third of the surveys submitted came from season-ticket holders, and the average number of games attended per season by all respondents was 3.23, so suffice it to say that those who took the time to participate are die-hards. The rankings below are based solely on your answers. They measure the level of satisfaction each fan base has with its home stadium as well as its team's year-to-year success. The winner, for the second consecutive season, was Green Bay's Lambeau Field, which scored in the top five in each of the five categories. (All five categories were weighed equally in coming up with the overall rankings.) Pittsburgh's Heinz Field placed second with Denver's Invesco Field coming in third. We also included a few extras in the survey that did not factor into the rankings: Information from the annual Team Marketing Report on each team (the average ticket costs $72.20, with the New England Patriots charging the most and the Buffalo Bills the least); also, readers submitted their favorite moments from home games as well as the worst examples of fan abuse they have witnessed (hint: many of them involve infamous Raiders fans) and voted on their favorite player; finally, readers voted on their favorite other stadiums to visit, with the winner again being Lambeau Field and the runner-up Buffalo's Ralph Wilson Stadium. Apparently, warm weather is not a priority among football fans. Last place? Giants Stadium. Note: The Colts' ranking is based on their new stadium, Lucas Oil Stadium, though many of the comments submitted related to their previous home, the RCA Dome. I bet if this poll was taken in 2000, the TWA Dome would be ranked very high. Oh, wait, there was a poll like this then, and the TWA Dome did very well. After 8 consecutive years of losing, only two with any hope for better things, and one of those hopes being dashed to pieces the following year, does the EJD have a chance to be ranked much better? Add into that the 'we won't commit to staying' by the RAMS FO, and it surprises me that the EJD doesn't rate 50 of 32.

If the RAMS commit to staying in St. Louis, I promise you the attendance increases dramatically. Put a consistently competitive team on the field, and I promise you the place is rockin'.

As was proven between 1995 and 1998 (inclusive), St. Louis proved that it would support a non-winning team as long as the product on the field was worth watching.
