The nice thing about a TIE....
Is of course the fact that we did not lose.
And what's more -the whiners did not win. Even though they were heavily favored, and we gave them golden opportunities to win, they still could not put us away. If nothing else that's something to laugh about.
At some point over the course of the next two seasons the Rams will be the best team in the NFL.
The booby prize in this game goes to Jeff Fisher. Alot of folks are pissed about the timeout he called near the end of regulation. But the timeout that finished us was the one he never used in OT right before the FG attempt.

Don't forget that Whiner fans are just as pissed off too.

Re: The nice thing about a TIE....
And.... at the end of the season, we'll be able to figure out every tiebreaker (including those for draft slotting) without going to any tiebreakers!
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: The nice thing about a TIE....
Look...if we hadn't made some really terrible mistakes, I'd be OK with the tie. However, this was a very winnable game for us. We made stupid mistakes, at critical points...AGAIN. This is a very bitter pill to swallow.
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!!

Re: The nice thing about a TIE....
I'm concerned with the amount of penalties the Rams are taking as well as the sginificant impact those penalties. There have been some VERY costly penalties that have hurt this team and Fisher's teams are known for being heavily penalized to begin with. That really needs to get cleaned-up going forward. I know this is a really young team, but Gibson isn't a rookie and he should damn sure know how to line up.

Re: The nice thing about a TIE....
I agree on the timeout on the FG, don't understand how we waited hoping the ball would get snapped. Rookie holder and kicker. You would think if they don't kick it before 3 second, the staff would be ready to call a time out predetermined. The last thing you want to do is ice your own kicker. The second one, I got to be honest it never crossed my mind during the game that we should have not called a time out and make sure we get it right, This offense has made so many mistakes in the redzone, that I just don't think we are good enough to milk the clock and score when we want too. This is the number one defense and we are on the road.
It's hard for me to rip this staff too much as they put together a great game plan and the team was ready to go toe to toe with the heavy weight 9ers. After the last two games many thought this young team would fade, when in fact they have sent the message to the west we are on the come deal with it.Last edited by Rambos; -11-12-2012 at 12:45 PM.
