Wide receiver Nick Miller of the St. Louis Rams is the team's second receiver to be suspended for PEDs.
So much for those four pillars. St. Louis Rams wide receiver and punt returner Nick Miller received a four-game suspension for using performance enhancing substances, reports Jim Thomas of the Post-Dispatch.
Miller is the second player from the 2011 Rams to be suspended for PEDs. Fellow receiver Austin Pettis earned a four-game suspension in December 2011, missing the last two games of the season. Pettis' suspension will bleed over into the first two games of the regular season.
The Rams added Miller in October, mostly as a replacement on returns for Danny Amendola. Fans remember Miller for his 88-yard punt return touchdown in Week 12, a game the Rams ultimately lost, in part because they punted to Patrick Peterson, who also returned a punt for a touchdown, something he did with some frequency against the Rams last year.
Miller is under contract for the 2012 season, for a minimal salary. Making the team this year was already something of a stretch, to say the least, especially with Amendola and others returning to health.

Re: Nick Miller suspended for PED
PED? Really?
Isn't it obvious that NOBODY on this team could have possibly taken a Performance ENHANCING Drug? In fact that should be his defense:
Goodall - Nick, it says here Performance Enhancing Drugs were found in your system.
Miller - Impossible, Commish. I'm a Ram. Our performance has been the exact opposite of enhanced.
Goodall - Good point. Case dismissed."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

Re: Nick Miller suspended for PED
Maybe our WR core should have taken an ability enhancing drug instead. That may help their hands

Glad to see Spags had things under control...
Two players fail PED tests....the amount of wins we had in 16 games.

I heard that Miller was last seen leaving the city of St Louis in a car driven by Claude Wroten, the infamous El Kabong

Re: Nick Miller suspended for PED
The pillars aint pillars no more. The Rams are now the ones feeling the effects from its fallout. Nick Miller thankfully is a nobody, so good luck to him. I imagine their is going to be some worried men around Rams park this season.

Re: Nick Miller suspended for PED
I'm beginning to think it was "Poor Fillers," as opposed to "Four Pillars."
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

We had a Nick Miller on the team last year?

Yeah, I totally forgot all about this guy. I don't think he would have made the team regardless.

He will now take his place on sofa and await another team to call. Don't hold your breath, Nick.

Re: Nick Miller suspended for PED
or maybe it went like this:
Goodall: Nick, it says here the you had PEDs in your system last year.
Nick: No sir, that can't be, I'm a Ram, our performance has been the opposite of enhanced
Goodall: You were a RAM!? And you STILL did that poorly WITH PEDS!?!?!? (String of bad words indicating surprise) You guys used PEDs and you were STILL that bad? I don't think I can punish you for using PEDs and still being worse than everyone else!
