Why would Curtis leave? Where have you heard anything to suggest that Curtis would leave if he isn't the 2006 starter?

Furthermore, the Rams tendered Curtis at a first round level. He's not leaving unless we get very good compensation.

I still think the original offer was unfair, and even with the cap at 94 mil we had enough to give him a little more.

That being said I'm glad he's a Ram.

Ok, guys, my bad. I wasn't havin my info right. I am ok with Bruce being resigned but I feel bad for Curtis cause I feel he is playing at a level to start in this league and be on the field at least 75% of the offensive plays.

Part of the deduction is from having already gotten defensive help in Glover, and $17 million is still a lot to work with.

Not really when we need a new CB, 2 new Safeties, 2 new Linebackers, a new DT and another DE. ALso a OG, TE, and KR.

And outside of the LBs and DBs, most of those needs are depth picks that won't cost much at all. We don't need to break the bank on a guard, a tight end, a return specialist, a defensive end, and another defensive tackle. And a number of those needs will be addressed in the draft.

I don't think we don't need one of them. We need talent, but it doesn't have to be them. There are plenty of quality free agents out there who won't break the bank but can contribute a lot to a team.

They won't break the bank. We will have plenty of money if our Front Office new how to run a team.

Re: No complaints about Bruce's contract now?

After he rejected the first deal, I had hoped that the Ram's FO would have given him a cold shoulder.

I really don't think he is worth it. A good FO would find a way to obtain players that are needed.

I had such high hopes last season. I really thought we could make a run. But we ended up losing 2 to the Scarlet Miners... my goodness what a disaster.

In that light, I think we need all the help we can get, at positions in which we are deficient. WR ain't one of them.

Some people are acting like we don't have any money left to spend. We still have 17 mil to spend on Free Agents, we will be fine.

Re: No complaints about Bruce's contract now?

wow guys, its not like we're poor or anything, I think we've been making some good moves recently, and its like you guys totally forgot about Glover's signing. That didn't take away any money, but Ike's did? They both did. Period. That's it, now we got around 17 million to work with, 1 million less than we did if we didn't have the CBA, and that's a good #. I don't see what you guys are going crazy about.

Always and Forever a fan of the St. Louis Rams
