No huddle, no how

It's amazing how good this offense looks when it decides to go no huddle. I think we turned the corner in the third quarter when we went to it, letting bradford take the riegns, giving confidance and momentem back to the players, himself and particularly the coaches.

We have seen Bradford masterly test drive this offense before, but we only see Spags pull the tarp back a little for just a little spin down to the corner and back.

This would make a good poll......, but anyhoo, Why?

Are they still worried about the shoulder? Are they protecting Bradfords arm? Although I think it effectly unleashes the running game (we can run out of the no huddle too), is spags worried about the conservitive identity he wants to build for his team? Or are we keeping it under wraps for something better? Like the first game of the playoffs?

I agree the no huddle has looked good all season. What bugs me though is that Alexander looks to be our most talented wr that isnt named Amendola yet we never throw a fade to him in the redzone. Shurmur is always content with screens and crosses and running up the gut in a game that we could not run at all. Alexander is listed at 6'5" so why do we never try this? It's a pretty safe play if thats what the coaching staff is worried about. I just think sometimes we play too close to the vest when we have a chance to put teams away and this has cost us several games this year. Hopefully in Seattle if we are in the redzone we give this kid a shot to run a fade for a touchdown.

Well we kinda used the no huddle today like we needed a life perserver. Why don't we use it like a club?

I was thinking the same thing today too. I didn't get to catch much of the second half, I've gotta go back and watch it, but the little that I did catch of the no huddle it really seems to open things up. Rep to anyone who can post up the # on how the Rams do in the no huddle kuz I'm not even sure where to look for that.

It baffles me why they don't use it more often. I'd love it if they ran it more often than not, but no, I don't think they're saving it for a playoff game. Thats not how Spags works at all..but I'd like a member of the media to ask Spags that just to get a feel for why they have only run it occasionally.

I'm not a great football mind but no huddle seems to work and when they get Alexander involved it helps instantly. So it is a little confusing why we don't use both more.

I don't think they are worried about his arm.

Fun Fact #1 We are 5th in the league for passing attempts.

If true, that seems like a dumb idea. I mean, if we never get there, then it does absolutely no good.

The no huddle is what gives this offense momentum. It is sad how little it is used. And it only seems to be when we are behind or in a 2 min drill. The way this offense is pretty mediocre without it.. it needs to be the staple.

Maybe we are saving DX for the playoffs.

I hope it's a "save it for BIG game" mentality vs. "It's too college-style for us" mentality.

Just do it Spags. Defenses go nuts trying to substitute and we get 12 man penalties out the wazoo. Sam's the master of the no-huddle. Keeps our D on the sideline and fresh.

Trust me all coaches save things and don't want to put things on film. The moment you do teams are ready for it and it becomes less effective. Most coaches do exactly what Spags does and dusts things like this in.

6 for 99 today for DX is fantastic. It looked like he started today, if that's the case we should do that again for sure.
