It never ceases to amaze me how much nonsense is posted about Sam.
Actually, I remember the commentator saying something to that effect. It's a bit out of context, though. The announcer was talking about how Clemens had followed Shotty from the Jets to the Rams, and had a multitude of years in the system. He then went on to say that, as a result, he felt Clemens could be more familiar with the offense.

Don't really know if it's true or not, but that's the story at least.

Well it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone if Clemons knows the offense better than Bradford. He has been in this offense for 6 seasons compared to Bradfords 1 seasons.

I think just looking at Clemens play you can see that he has a good understanding of what is going on, considering he haven't had much game-experience doing his career. Also he seems to be good at calling play adjustments at the line, to take advantages of what the defence gives him (the commentator mentioned this on a run-play in the Colts game) at it has something to do with his experience in this offense.

An other example is that for the first time (in two seasons!) the QB calling "Kill, Kill" haven't resulted in a run play.

Clemens may have been in the system, but how many practice snaps has he been taking?

6 years as a back up where you take very little snaps is not the same as doing the same plays over and over week in week out.

That is why Clemens has been improving in each game. Not only is he getting better in game experience, but he is now taking the starters practice snaps.

You are right. He does seem to get more comfortable each week. That is what practice and game repetition can do for a QB. However, he has been sitting in on QB-room meetings, offensive meeting and read in the same playbook (or variations of the same) for 6 season, so it doesn't surprise me if he knows more about the scheme than Bradford does. In fact it is one of the reasons he is here, to teach Bradford about the system.

No, actually the drunk fan sitting in front of me said, "If we don't get this first down, I'm going to stab you in the throat with my aluminum beer bottle." Luck threw a pick to James L and I stood up and said, "Yes, I'm getting stabbed in the throat with a beer bottle. Lets go RAMS!!!!" Then security showed up and threatened to throw me out for cussing.

Honestly AV, come to the game, I'll buy you a ticket!!! But the plane trip or drive is on your dime!!!

It would always be my pleasure to attend a Rams game with a fan as passionate as you are. Unfortunately, I've exhausted my Rams budget for this year, so it will have to be some other time.

I would not be a bit surprised if that were the case. The bottom line is that Clemons does not have Bradford's physical skills.
