No Jackson? Rams promote RB Ogbonnaya to active roster
By Jim Thomas
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
In a sure sign of concern over Steven Jackson’s availability for Sunday’s home game against Seattle, the St. Louis Rams have promoted rookie running back Chris Ogbonnaya to the active roster from the practice squad.
Ogbonnaya, a seventh-round draft pick from the University of Texas, got some practice reps with the No. 1 offense late in the week. On Saturday, as the Rams’ completed their walk-through at Rams Park, Jackson’s condition was described as status quo _ no change.
Jackson did not practice all week because of back spasms.

Not a good sign. What else can go wrong?

Rams are in Shut Down mode. Looking forward, however, to seeing Chris Ogbonnaya in action. Wouldn't be surprised to see Null and Chris in the Rams backfield against the Seahawks.

Hopefully if Jackson is out, Gado and Darby will step up and run well. They've seen first hand how to run tough... now let's see what they've learned.
Of course my first pick would be to have Jackson, lol.

Damn it. Seattle may be one of the few shots we have left this year of another win, they're not a good team, but without Jackson the odds don't look good for us. I hope he's able to go I think he's the difference between winning and losing this one.
I guess if we have to start someone else at RB we'll get to see not only how good our backups are but really how well our line can run-block will be tested with backs that can't really gain much on their own. If someone else steps in and succeeds tonight a lot of credit should go to this O-line.
