Why not? I mean the salary won't come out of the Cap so what does it matter if we pay him 7, 8 or 9 million?

I also have no problem with giving him the title of executive vice president. As far as I'm concerned the more power you can give to someone with actual football knowledge and experience the better.

Let the coach, coach. And the personnel people handle the personnel. You realize the exec VP tag trumps the GM tag right? Meaning Fisher would have final say over ALL Rams decisions above the GM. Way too much power for a coach. Let the GM do his thing, and the Coach do his thing.

I kind of wish Jay Gruden hadn't taken himself out of the running, but at the same time i like what he said and how he said it. If the Dolphins are offering him 8M plus Executive VP and he still has not taken that offer, to me that seems like he really doesn't want to go to the Dolphins and he is holding out to see if Stan will make another offer that will be closer to what the Dolphins are offering. That is my guess anyway.

I get this feeling too KCRam. I think he does prefer the Rams, but the Dolphins are making it extremely difficult, with the big carrot their dangling under his nose.?
I will be very disappointed if Stan doesn't pull this off. Mainly because I think it is important he makes a statement for the Rams, and shows the football world, he means business.?

How in the world are we supposed to believe this isn't a leverage play and neither team has made an offer, one week into this mess. Clearly the man has a huge ego and is trying to squeeze as much money and power possible from either franchise. He is just using his media connections to come out as a good guy.
