Re: No one is going to run away with the West
Being equally dreadful as the rest of the division isn't cause for optimism.
Come to think of it, we're a little more dreadful than the rest of the division on today's showing.

Re: No one is going to run away with the West
I think best team in West right now are the Whiners. Harbaugh has them believing n themselves.
I do not think it is a viable option that a team that is as dreadful as Rams can just turn on the "switch" when we get to the West rivals. I believe losing in NFL becomes pervasive and hard to pull out of nose dive. I do not buy into " we will run the table " once we ge to the rivals.
The lack of heart is what really is tell tale about this team right now. IMO

Re: No one is going to run away with the West
The league will not allow a 6-10 team into the playoffs. As the end of the season nears (if not before then) they will "let the boys play" (read lack of penalties) so that the niners have at least a 7-9 record. Maybeso even if it is the Cards. I don't see the hags being good enough, even with help. From what I have seen so far, the officials cannot find it in themselves to consistantly "give the RAMS a break" when it comes to enforcing the rules evenly on both sides of the ball.

Re: No one is going to run away with the West
Today yes we are in last and we look bad... talk to me when SJ is back and Clayton and Danny are back. Talk to me when we have more time to get the Offense down.
But today you are correct we are dreadful, I'm just glad the playoff are not next week!
Hey we have to win the west to get to the playoffs, just like we have no control of the the schedule we have no control over the teams in our division weather they are good or bad.Last edited by Rambos; -09-25-2011 at 10:09 PM.

Re: No one is going to run away with the West
At this point I'd settle for a competitive game, even if we lose. Then after that, I'd settle for a competitive win.
Nowhere in my mind is "Playoffs", because we've proven three straight weeks that we are not on that level.
Let's say we get a win first, then go step by step, from there.

The Rams shouldn't be worried about the playoffs, they should simply be worried about not being a punchline.

Re: No one is going to run away with the West
I find it hard to even discuss playoffs with this team. I'm with Fortuninerhater. I'll start talking playoffs when the Rams start playing some kind of professional football.
This team is being outplayed and outcoached on just about every level.Faithful Rams fan since 1968

Re: No one is going to run away with the West
I think 7-9 again will win the West. As much as i hate to say it, the Niners look the best in winning the west. As for us, I think what adjustments we make during the bye week will determine our season.

Re: No one is going to run away with the West
Lets see how the whinners look mid way:
Philadelphia Eagles
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Detroit Lions
Washington Redskins
New York Giants
Baltimore Ravens
Pittsburgh Steelers
If SJ was out for the year then I might say it's over, but he's not and he is a huge factor.
I also Know Clayton is going to help and Danny will make it back sooner then later.
Then there is the schedule it's going to get softer, we have not played a team with less then 10 wins this year. But we will...
If we where 3-0 and beat all bottom feeders I guess some guys would think we where a great team, when in fact we are still a young team that has a lot to learn...
I may be wrong we may only win two games this year... but I'm going to wait until I see us with SJ before I say that.Last edited by Rambos; -09-26-2011 at 05:30 PM.
