    No Regrets...

I don't regret waiting for free agency to start, only to see the Rams sit out the initial wave of signings.

I don't regret all the time spent analyzing and projecting the draft, even when I miss the mark.

I don't regret the times I've argued, held my ground, and engaged in verbal sparring, even if it rubbed some people the wrong way.

I don't regret nearly 18,000 posts over nearly 10 years, even though that may be excessive.

I don't regret SLOP, or Linefan, or BernieM.

I don't regret the Bashes I've planned or attended, even though the interest in the event may have waned somewhat.

I don't regret my actions as a Mod, even though some thought I overstepped.

I don't regret The Book of Spiralhorns, even if it was silly.

I don't regret my eternal optimism, despite the frequent disappointment.

I don't regret my stance on the media, naysayers, fair weather fans, or the folly of the new metrics, even if I may have seemed over the top.

I don't regret supporting players who gave their all, even if they ultimately failed.

I don't regret the 35 seasons that I've watched the Rams fail to win a championship.

I don't regret the dollars or hours I've spent as a Rams fan.

And... whatever tomorrow brings, glory or frustration, vindication or regression, victory or defeat, I know I'll feel the same way.

    No regrets.

Another key to successful free agency is getting mid-low tier FAs (Joe Barksdale, Rocky McIntosh, and Jo-Lonn Dunbar) and grooming them into at least solid contributors. The Rams have done well in that department since Fisher came in and we should see more of that this offseason. Right now we should be focused on experience for a young crop of players and hopefully finding a durable O-line that can grow together through continuity.

I don't blame Saffold for leaving to Oakland especially after we got Jake Long and I wish him the best of luck but it's for the best if we want linemen who know they can stay healthy. Pass protection has often went down to dumpster fire when a linemen got injured.

Agreed 100%. The only time the Rams let me down on a truly heart breaking level was when they traded Dickerson. I was looking for a new team to root for when that happened.

I have made my mistakes on this board and elsewhere sometimes judging people, too much or too little, or letting others carry the can for somebody else's mistakes. But that the past, all we can alter is the future. Agree, No regrets.

    Re: No Regrets...

Good luck OAKLAND, your going to need it. Saffold when healthy is a great player and there in lies the problem, "when healthy". They just spent $42million on someone who usually is a part-time player, let a more durable player slip to the Cards, and they wonder why they are often outside looking inside their division. All I can say, I don't regret the Rams not spending $42mill on keeping him...better them then the Rams.

Besides, the pinheaded maneuvering of the Raider's FO. R. Saffold has proven to be a bigger idiot. Think he will last long enough in Oakland to see his $42mill? Oh hell no, year, perhaps 2 maybe even 3, he'll get cut, and maybe he'll find another job, as a backup--wonder how much that pays. The numbers on a contract looks big, but its what you actually put in your pocket that counts.

Finnegan and Cook should be examples of why you shouldnt care about FA. aging soon to be bums in a league where youth trumps.
