No Word From Chip...

I was waiting to hear something, other than Bulger's benching of course. I did see a report on the NFL channel that a sale of the team is possibly pending, but they were very tight lipped. But nothing from the Chipster yet.....

Any thoughts, rumors or speculation out there?

Re: No Word From Chip...

He's filming the movie "How To Fail As An NFL Owner In 60 Days".It'll be a box office bust.

The question would be who though. The only rumor of any potential buyer I'd heard was a couple months ago when Ed DeBartolo was rumored to be toying with the idea. Niners fans would collectively crap their pants if that happened.

That said, at least a change in majority ownership would open up a greater likelihood of a front office overhaul that we've all been begging for.

I thought the deal with Eddie DeBartolo was dead too. Although he has a history with the Whiners, he would be SOOOOO motivated to have a team in the same division that could beat the whiners' butts year in and year out.

Also the director is inept and gets no respect from the actors!

I am so hoping for a good change in ownership!!

Re: No Word From Chip...

Flat and simple. Chip is all air and no substance. He talks a good fight but has no backbone or integrity. He should have fired Linehan and Hasslet Monday morning instead of letting them continue to destroy the team.

Re: No Word From Chip...

right about that, chip has NO intestinal fortitude...with that being said, It would be nice if Someone like Debartolo bought the team, moved them back to LA, and created a perennial NFL powerhouse.
