Re: Not Bradfords Best Game, BUT.......
Bradford got it done. He still needs receiving help, and to beat the whiners without Amendola is actually pretty spectacular. He didn't really get great playcalling today either, and the run game didn't do much.
Keep in mind that Bradford drove the Rams into field goal range with only two minutes left in the 4th, then got them in field goal range again in OT. He did what he needed to and we got the win.
Re: Not Bradfords Best Game, BUT.......
One must not forget who we played today. That ******defense is for real and if anyone expected bradford to have anything close to his best game without his best weapon they don't know a thing about football. Dude took what the defense gave him and that was practically nothing. Holding on to the ball and not being able to do what he wanted was probably the most frustrating if your bradford. He didnt do anything to throw the game away and keeping us close was probably the game plan coming in. The penalties and dropped passes are also things that need consideration. Keapernick had one turnover and it cost him dearly. In close games taking care of the football is job number one. if we turned it over just once, this game would probably be a loss. Sam needs more weapons plain and simple. He's not going to make it look easy until we get more playmakers on the field. That fade pass in the end zone to pettis was spot on. pettis just didnt make the catch.
Re: Not Bradfords Best Game, BUT.......
For our loses we critically blame the O-line and Bradford...
But in this game even though he didnt throw for a single TD he got the job done and our O-line did enough for us to win
Also did you guys see that Pettis throw in the corner of the end-zone the 49er just made a nice play on it...But if we can get a huge Jimmy Graham type guy just imagine what Bradford can do with that accuracy that was a perfect pass on a very very tight window
Re: Not Bradfords Best Game, BUT.......
I counted five drops... he was 26 of 39. He should have been 31 of 39. He took what the D gave him which was not much.
Re: Not Bradfords Best Game, BUT.......
Stats are stats.....I'll take the "W"!

So yes, key play by our QB! :ram:
The are just 9er cheer leaders. I bet they didn't say anything about the bogus roughing the princess that put them in a positon to score the first FG, or the blantant hold that wasn't called on the 50 yard scramble.
When it's the talking heads on NFLN or ESPN, they are just watching the plays through marron and gold glasses.

Agreed. The pass was risky, but Bradford placed it perfectly where only Pettis (who got both hands on the ball) could catch it.

There were actually six drops. The five I originally mentioned, and one by Steve Smith at the end of the first half that cost five or six yards of field position for GZ's missed FG attempt.
Re: Not Bradfords Best Game, BUT.......
Sam seems to lack that killer instinct that a Peyton manning or a Drew Brees has. I wish he had that instinct where once he smells blood he is enthusiastic and goes for the kill. Also we can't get brad fords favorite weapons on at the same time, maybe once it becomes easier for him to get in a rythm he can start feeling that feeling that manning has when scoring 42 points and such. But Peyton had that killer instinct after a couple seasons one can only hope now we have a good coach that feeling can come and inspire from fisher.

He also had a spiked ball counts as an INT.

Surely you mean incompletion. I cannot fathom how a spike can count as an INT.

That so called "penalty" on Quinn was ... !!!
Next he might have been penalized for looking at the QB wrong! What a silly call.
Glad that Bradford this his part to WIN despite that nonesense.
Re: Not Bradfords Best Game, BUT.......
20/29 without amendola. With five drops. Great game tying drive and a 2pt conversion. Haters need to sit down.
Get him another solid tackle. And a big physical WR to go along with speedy givens and slot clutch Amendola. If he doesn't step up to top 7-10 in league, then you can talk.
