The Vikings essentially only scored 1 offensive TD last week and that was on their first drive. Their other TD's were on a pick 6 and then a Peterson TD run after an interception returned to the Bears' 5 yard line. The Vikings and especially Ponder have been terrible on offense the last several weeks and the Rams defense has been great at stopping the run recently so I actually feel good about the Rams' chances of shutting down AP. I'm still concerned about the Rams' ability to score on offense though.

The Vikings have been one dimensional since Percy Harvin was injured. That being said, our D has made a habit of making bad QBs look like pro bowlers. As for Peterson, he is a beast. If our D tries to arm tackle him, he'll be scoring on every play. It's true that the Vikings haven't scored much, even with Peterson averaging over 160 yds per game. However, I don't want our defense to be a contributing factor to Peterson breaking Dickerson's rushing record. Although, if any current RB is going to break it that doesn't play for the Rams, I can't think of anyone I like better than Peterson. He's not only fun to watch, he's a very nice guy.

We can absolutely neutralize Peterson.... if we play well. We've just shut down Frank Gore (excellent back) and C.J. Spiller (very good player) in successive weeks. While Peterson is better than both, I have confidence in our guys and the coaches in coming up with a good scheme.
