That deal will require him to find some £500m, just under a third of his estimated wealth.
That's a lot of money, even for him.
(No insinuation or anything here, btw, just thought it might be of interest).

Pretty hard to tell, but I'll say that out of the old Big Four / new Big Four/Five blah Arsenal have been the least idiotic in their spending over the last five years and appear to have the lowest overheads. Wenger may whine and cry for his own like any boss would but when was the last major fall-out in personnel from that corner of the EPL? it's the most stable of the top brands and Stan must know that and be impressed with it.
It's a huge risk but it will probably not turn out to be an Abramovic-level farce like Chelski are at the moment. He wouldn't spend 1/30th of his wealth on one player who wouldn't get him so much as 1pt in 7 games. Mr. Torres.
Not sure this belongs in ram talk. Maybe if they used the team as a minor league for the rams.
Happy for it to be moved, just put it in here because of the Kroenke connection and so thought it was of interest beyond general soccer chit chat.
