Re: Now how do you feel about Linehan?
fftopic: Having seen Dallas clobber Chicago tonight in the Bears den, I'm also seing a rather BIG challenge for the Coach and the Rams next week on the road again.
3-0 Cowgirls Vs. 0-3 Rams. :x
It can be done of course. Remember 2002? A 0-5 Rams team defeats the then undefeated Raiders, 28-13! Woo-hoo!
:\ ...But then we finished 7-9.
I voted right in the middle for Coach Linehan. No doubt he's feeling the heat and it's not from the summer temperature.Last edited by RealRam; -09-24-2007 at 01:13 AM. Reason: Typo, 2002 season results

Timely.
Don't think he's proven himself, but wouldn't say he's the entire problem.

Re: Now how do you feel about Linehan?
The problem is never just one person, but you get the feeling that Linehan doesn't know how to fix the problem. I'm starting to question whether he isn't a big part of it.

Re: Now how do you feel about Linehan?
I was pessimistic and everything I thought of Linehan was confirmed - and then some. I thought we would be bad after seeing the first game, but I didn't think we would be so downright awful that we would lose to the Whiners and get completely shut down by the Bucs. I don't think Linehan has any clue what to do about it, if he insists playcalling is no problem whatsoever then he's not really watching the same games we are.

He's got to turn it around. Simple as that. I'm holding onto hope, but it's the last thing that's holding me at the moment.

Re: Now how do you feel about Linehan?
I thought he'd assembled a pretty good staff last year, as we went on that streak without Pace no less, once he stopped the playcalling.
Now we have horrid playcalling again, and we're streaking the wrong way. Did he think he learned his lesson or has Olson lost it since last year? I'm still hopeful because he did well last year, and the defense is doing well, I mean they held the Bucs to 27 minutes of TOP! We just need to the offense to click and that does lay with the coordinator and coach, and so I'm starting to worry about him.

Re: Now how do you feel about Linehan?
AV,
You created the poll but unlike most of your polls you omit (SAT word) your own choice.
Myself, as always, I tried to remain positive but I was pessimistic when they hired Linesham.
Our team has some huge challenges in front of us before the rash of injuries and our beleaguered (SAT) defense, which I thought played very well in the first half much to my surprise.
Oh well maybe my golf game will improve as I do not know if I can stand watching the Confederacy of Dunces (Linesham, Hasbeen, Ols@#T) maintain this abysmal form of effort on all sides.
Truly pathetic!
Well I have NFL ticket and TVO so unless we start turning it around fishing and golf sound a lot better than humiliation!
I really thought we would be a decent and competitive team this year but all those jokers (espn) thought the same for notre shame too:xSocrates: Surf to live! and Live to Surf!

My sentiments too, JackieSlater. We took a huge risk by hiring a coach with no Head Coach experience. For an offensive coordinator to become a good Head Coach, you would think the offense would be flawless. The opposite has occurred. Our defense is playing better than expected and our offense is terrible. Injuries are not an excuse as every team must deal with them.
We are not game planning well and making the necessary adjustments as the game plays out. Either the preparation is bad leaving the players unprepared for adversity, or we are just executing poorly. Either way, this team is likely to have a coaching change after this season, IMO.
Go Rams!

Re: Now how do you feel about Linehan?
I was hopeful but now I'm having my doubts. At the end of last year the offense showed some promise & I hoped they would break out this year, instead they seem to have broken down. There are several reasons for the breakdown that include coaching, injuries, and suspensions. Many of you have detailed these reasons in this forum. mde8352gorams mentioned there may be a coaching change after this season, that thought did cross my mind, only for a minute. That would mean another major round of changes for the team to adjust to.
Always a RAMS fan!
