Re: Official: Rams hire Brian Schottenheimer
Four words about how I feel about this signing.
In Fisher I Trust.
Re: Official: Rams hire Brian Schottenheimer
I can only hope that Schotty is not Schitty....
Re: Official: Rams hire Brian Schottenheimer
Eh.
My faith is in Fisher.
Re: Official: Rams hire Brian Schottenheimer
Let's hope "in Fisher we trust" turns out better than "in Spags we trust". At this point, I'm afraid I don't trust anybody.
Re: Official: Rams hire Brian Schottenheimer
Yeah this year is feeling an AWFUL lot like 2009 when spags came in and everyone saw rays of sunshine and a spotlight follow him around.
Lets hope we FINALLY got it right...

:Dyeah like getting poor Cutler's head beat in on a regular basis & refusing to change the system in order to give him more protection. Word is Cutler is the happiest man on the planet to have Martz gone.

Yeah thats his scheme. You're going to take hits as a QB, but Cutler had a 86 pt QB rating and Forte had 997 yards in 12 games averaging 4.9 YPC. Looks pretty damn good to me.

Key difference: Spags had never assembled a staff as a HC. Fisher has.

Why do people believe that? That simply is not an accurate statement.
That division has ONE (count'em, ONE) legitimate Superbowl contender, and that's the NE Patriots. That's it!!!
One team does not make you the toughest division in football. The Jets are by far, the most overrated team in the NFL.
The AFC East was not even as tough as the NFC West this year. For all the negative attention it receives, the NFC West's top three teams won 28 games to 27 for the AFC East.
So please spare me with that nonsense.
That's unfair. Have to look at the entire division, not just cherry pick the top teams. Over the past few years, the AFC East is consistently at the top in total team wins. And like the Jets or not, they were a SB contender the last 3 seasons. This past year we busted, but they made it to back to back AFC champ games before that, so you can't get that far and say they weren't a SB contender.
Re: Official: Rams hire Brian Schottenheimer
I was never that excited when Spags was hired, not like I am now.
1.) I said it was a good hire, and we could head in the right direction now. (When Spags was hired)
2.) Spags never was on top of his game as soon as he was hired like Fisher has been.
3.) Fisher has proven experience.
Thats why I am very excited for the Fisher era. With our schedule next year, I think we can win the NFC West. But then again, I will wait for a whole offseason to be done before I say anything to that extent.

Absolutely! In the 'Schottenheimer vs Jackson' poll I voted "slight edge to the Schott" because, although I don't know much about Hue J, I thought there was just an unacceptable excess baggage tagged with yellow flags, i.e., an awful, record-setting penalties disaster in Oakland for 2011 (even if such penalties were divided their by offense, defense, and ST so it was not all on Mr. Hue).
Not knowing much of either OC candidate, I simply saw a better prospect in Schottenheimer.
I am also suscribing to the 'Trust in Fisher' momentum right now. :)

Upon further review, over the last 3 years, the AFC East are tied for the second best division in the NFL according to the W/L records.
Better than I originally thought, but still not the best division in football. That distinction belongs to the AFC North, though followed closely by the NFC North and the AFC East.
That said, I still believe the Jets are overrated and have been mostly hype since Rex Ryan took over.
