Ovie Mughelli - RB - Rams

Rams released FB Ovie Mughelli.
Not far removed from being one of the top lead blockers in the game, Mughelli apparently lost out to Brit Miller. Mughelli missed a large chunk of 2011 with a torn right MCL. He should be one of the first calls for any team looking for a fullback this season.

Tom Brandstater - QB - Rams

Rams waived QB Tom Brandstater, WR Nick Johnson and LB Sammy Brown.
It's Brandstater's annual release. The 2009 sixth-round pick has now been waived four times since last August. Josh McDaniels' teacher's pet is nearing the end of the line.

S Omar Browns, he had a great camp you know they want him on the practice squad.

One of the great stories of the 2012 preseason for the Baltimore Ravens was the stellar play by undrafted rookie safety Omar Brown.

Coming out of Marshall University, Brown was not a very highly touted draft prospect. In fact, he was relatively unknown and unheard of during the draft process. But once the draft ended in April, the Ravens decided to give Brown a call and offer him a contract.

The decision to sign Brown looked like a genius move, as Brown was one of Baltimore's most effective defensive players during the preseason.

Recovering three fumbles, intercepting a pass and recovering an onside kick looked like more than enough to guarantee a spot for Brown on the final 53-man roster. Adding six tackles to his resume in the Thursday night's game against the St. Louis Rams made it seem like he'd be a contributor to the Ravens defense this season.

Unfortunately for Brown, his chances of making the final roster for the Ravens have come to an end, according to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun.
