OK....Bring them in. I want the quicks separated from the fastest players.
As you all know, some players who appear quick in a 40 yd'r often struggle to actually play the game fast.
Torry Holt was considered one of the best quick players, and never mooched more than about 4.5 for his 40 yd time.
So what is more important?
Ability to run with Speed or......
Game quickness...... Lightening through route/hole but top end disappears after 20 yds.

Actually, it has very little to do about quickness or shear speed. It's about running a route, setting up the defensive player and getting seperation at the point at which the ball is supposed to arrive.
Holt and Bruce were both experts at it.

Its a combination of quicks and speed. Speed is strait line, quicks is side to side. Quickness gets seperation initially, speed gets you over the top of safties. A reciever or a back needs quickness not necessarly speed. Its the same as horse power and torque. Torque gets u going but hp is all on the high end (rpms... for those of u car savvy guys)

Umm......Holt ran a 4.44 at the Combine and a 4.38 at his Pro Day.Torry Holt was considered one of the best quick players, and never mooched more than about 4.5 for his 40 yd time."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

Torry Holt was a ghost in the backfield. He was a route runner and damn good at it too.
