Ok, the Rams just changed there name
We have all decided that we like St. Louis better. But what would happen if they changed their name, like to the Stallions and LA bought the Rams name back from Georgia. Then what do you do??

Re: Ok, the Rams just changed there name
Well, I would have to cheer for the Rams, right after I got through selling all my possessions and using the money to hire a hit squad on Miss Georgia...

Re: Ok, the Rams just changed there name
I became a Rams fan when they moved to St. Louis. If St. Louis kept the history, the players, and changed the name, I think I'd have to be fan of the Stallions.
Now on the other hand, if the whole franchise was moved back to LA, I'd still be a Rams fan for life. Even if St. Louis got another franchise.

Re: Ok, the Rams just changed there name
Yea, pretty much, I'm in the same boat as ZigZag. If the franchise just changed their name, then I would be the first to get a St. Louis Stallion jersey. I mean even if the expansion team became the LA Rams, it wouldn't be the Rams of Youngblood, Olsen, Slater, Dickerson, Warner, Faulk, & Bruce. It would have as little history as the Cleveland Browns, not the Ravens, the Browns.

Re: Ok, the Rams just changed there name
Ahhh don't tease me! I wish the city would asked to keep the name, but I doubt that would of happened. The connection to the horns is stronger for the team than the name was for the city, if that makes sense to you. I was extremely jealous when Clevland got to keep the name Browns.
IHowever, don't know what's worse though, the fact that when I hear the Colts I still think of baltimore or when I hear the Ravens, I think to myself, what a stupid name (Did Poe even like football?).
Bottom line, the Rams started in Clevland and were a gift to my hometown for forty+ years. Now they're with my new family in St. Louis. When they left I seriously looked at all of the other teams, but after realizing that I had a reason to hate all other teams but the Packers, I decided that there was no other team for me. Even when asked if LA got a team, which they do not deserve, would I switch over.....HELL NO! Once a Rams, always a Rams fan.

Being that I have gone thru these moves and name changes 2 different times, both time losing teams that I followed, I would stick with the St Louis team whatever name it was. It just would get a little more expensive buying some different gear.

Re: Ok, the Rams just changed there name
This is a horrible idea
I'd be awfully bitter about any name switch, i'd probably hate both teams.

Re: Ok, the Rams just changed there name
I did not decide that I like St. Louis. Hell I've never even been there.
I think they should move the Rams to Portland, Oregon.
Regardless, I CHEER FOR THE HORNS wherever they are currently located.

JRams,
Change, "...there name", to "...their name".

Would it bring the joy of victory,

Gotta stay with the Horns, it's those darn horns that started me down this path. The location is the host town of those horns, the keeper so to speak. To me, nothing more, nothing less.
