one HUGE take away from today's game of critical importance....

The one HUGE and critical takeaway from today's bombing is that (unless i missed it) no one got hurt. I have one mantra when it comes to preseason and it goes like this. You can't win anything in preseason, but you can sure lose plenty. There is no statistical evidence i have ever seen that suggests that winning records in preseason lead to winning records when it counts. But its a reality that critical injuries in preseason can really hurt you, and this is especially true for young teams and those that don't have a lot in the way of depth.

The Cincinnati Bengals lost four starters to injury in the first 16 minutes of Friday night’s preseason opener against the New York Jets.
Man before we played, I watched this game and all I could think about is, I hope we don't lose anybody on Sunday!

Bradford got smeared too a couple of times. Held my breath all the way through my Hail Marys.

Very critical to having a decent season is having players available. GC you are totally right on that. It was nice to see Jerome Murphy has recovered nicely. Whether he makes the team is another matter entirely. Let's hope the 3 next games have similar outcomes in the injury column, a win or two might not hurt the emotional aspect either.

    Go Rams!
