    Op-slop!

OP-SLOP ("Opposition Party" to the "Scott Linehan opposision part.")

Av said it himself. If we win this next week, slop would "confidently" support the Rams going into the off-season.

While our chances of getting into the post season are minimal at best, I want to express my gratitde to Av and the rest of slop for their acknowledgement of what the Rams have put togethet the last two weeks. Granted the last two weeks have been against sub-par 500 teams, we have to feel good about the fact that our team is back on track.

Much of our success can and should be attributted to the breakout perormances of Steven Jackson. But, also to the offensive play calling. Our defense has stepped up when necasssary as has our special teams (even though they've also had their difficulties).

So here we are, Op-slop and slop waiting for the results of our last game. I think our team has finished the season strong so far and deserves the respect of all of us. If we can at least do ourselves proud in the last game against the Vikings, win or lose, slop will have to acknowledge the accomplishments of our team and our coaching staff. We are talking about our first year of transition to a new coaching staff and system. At this point I am pleased. If you are pleased as well, here is your opportunity to say so!

Giants, Carolina, and Falcons... you need to lose!!!

    Go Rams!!! :l

As far as the success of Linehan and his staff goes. Finishing 7-9 is an improvement over last seasons 6-10. However, this has been posted many times, injuries,(Bulger,Bruce,Holt) Mike Martz illness contributed big time to that 6-10 record. After looking at our schedule for the 2006 season I had us winning 9 or 10 at best and 8 at the worst. If we finish with 7 wins I'll be leaning to the wrong side of the fence. 8 wins and I say we close slop.

    Just one mans opinion.

    Re: Op-slop!

I should have posted this in Av's recent slop thread...sorry about that. There is no op-slop. Just a play on their existing acronyme. Not to be taken seriously.

The point is winning cures many ills. Our two recent victories have at least given us hope for the future, when we are all just Rams fans again. I think with a few strategic acquisitions through free agency and the draft, we can be competive next year.

    Go Rams!!! :l

So, if one were to oppose OP-SLOP, would that make him OP-OP-SLOP?

I'm pretty sure injuries contributed to our team this year as well.

You're right Nick but not to 3 players that make the offense go.

Hmmm... Offensive line Decimated. What do we have? Four lineman either starting or playing different positions than they did at the beginning of the year. I think you could have the best QB, RB, and WR in history and still not be able to do well with all that damage.
