Re: An open letter to John Shaw

I would love to start a pettition and attach the letter. There is very little we can do as fans, but at least this may help in some small way. I was even going to submit it to the post dispatch to see if they may want to print it in their op ed section.

I just know as a Ram fan of 35 years, I can't sit by and watch this continue without speaking out. So I'm all for a petition.

I'm saving pennies in case she (Georgia) decides to sell the team.

Anybody else on here want to chip in and have the first and only fan owned team in pro-sports. That would be good, then we could truly see who knows better the owners or fans of a team.

I hope you do send it to the Rams' FO (although they may have already read it on here?).

I heard Herm Edwards on ESPN Radio today and he said one needs to remember that there are coaches, players and then fans and one needs to remember that.

IOW, they may read your letter and maybe appreciate your sentiments I doubt it will do much more than make you feel better for expressing your concerns/thoughts .

Hmmmm.. maybe if we put it in the form of a petition on here.....
A full page add would rock, I will contribute twenty bucks!

Sorry to pop your bubble, but the Green Bay Packers are owned by the fans.

I believe the Cleveland Indians were (1998-2000) publicly traded as well. Also, the Florida Panthers (1996-2001) and the Boston Celtics (1986-2002) would fall into that category. Though there are no currently publicly traded franchises (the Pack is actually set-up as a non-profit), our fan fiscal revolution wouldn't be the first.
