Overseas Rams fans; help!

I was just wondering if anyone on here is a rams fan from overseas? And if there is anybody, how do you watch games? I am going to hong Kong for the fall semesrer to study, and the only thing I can think of is how do I watch the Rams in hong Kong? Or perhaps someone here is from there and knows of a spot that shows football games?

Thanks.

Re: Overseas Rams fans; help!

From England we get NFL on Sky Sports and Channel Five but they hardly show St. Louis so your best bet is getting Sopcast that's how I watched them... although they stopped putting channels for them up towards the end of the season so I had to use gamecentre

I think the person to speak to would be Fat Pang, who, i do believe, calls those regions home.

Here in Australia, we get it through pay-tv. There's 3 FOX sports channels, and ESPN.

Re: Overseas Rams fans; help!

The nfl is pretty big here on Guam and we do get NFL sunday ticket through our digital cable company. But in Asian countries, i think Soccer is their thing. So subscribing through an internet based NFL afilliation would be your best bet. Of all the years you decide to move out of the continental US it just happens to be the year the Rams win another SB?.....Your luck is as good as mine guudy

Re: Overseas Rams fans; help!

The NFL in Hong Kong is shown domestically on NOW broadband TV and also on ESPN on the i-cable network. Both of those networks have commercial agreements with bars in HK, and in several sports bars in HK you can see NFL games.

The problems are TZ, most games are shown early monday morning and also that you have no guarantee of which game you'll see. They tend to show that weeks 'highlight' game (i.e the best matchup).

If you manage to get yourself to one of the outlying islands, where illegal Phillipine or Thai satellite feed is available the choice increases, but then you have to know a friendly local bar-owner willing to stay up that early and you have to make it worth his while .

I'll still be around when you're in HK, so if you want to head out for a beer and a looksee or just want further info beyond "Never, ever buy anything from Nathan road" feel free to PM me.

Don't visit the Clan much these days but I'll pick up the PM.

Re: Overseas Rams fans; help!

Excellent, thanks for all the tips.

Guam, I am not leaving the U.S. I live in Newfoundland, Can. I've only ever seen one NFL game (Colts/ Chargetrs this year) and next year was supposed to be my second, but the only game I'll get to see now would be a playoof game or superbowl.

Fat Pang, I'll certianly look you up when I head to HK. Look forward to finally meeting another Ram fan in person, as if any of you can believe this I have never met one.

So This pretty much takes care of the only concern I had with spending fall in Asia... lack of proper Football. Although soccer is great, Football is acutally my life>>> look at this chat I am copying from MSN between me and a friend, you guys will get a kick out of it;

Aaron: So what's going on with you and Liz?
Justin: I'm not sure, she's a good laugh, and she's pretty HOT... but I just don't know... you know?
Justin: I mean I like her, I just don't LIKE her...
Aaron: oh I get it... you like her but you don't Football Love her!
Aaron: I can understand that!

Anyways, that was when i broke up with my gf. a little while ago. Once he said the football Love her, thing I knew it was time to go. Now whenever I meet a girl I have something to compare her too, to tell how much I like her... FOOTBALL!

Re: Overseas Rams fans; help!

I am on the international nfl gamespass with yahoo and watch the streamed games over the web. By the sound of how much you love football, like myself, you wont baulk at the $250.
