Hey Fargo, why the need for the personal attacks? What is "knee jerk" about reading the rule and then listening to the referees comments regarding the need for the contact to be inadvertent? The knee jerk reaction is the commentary from the tv announcers (and nfl primetime i might add) that stated incorrectly that "any contact with the official is an automatic ejection."
