Pace Update from Glazer
Jay Glazer is saying Linehan told him that it looks like the injury to Pace is a season ending injury. Initial tests are inconclusive but it doesn't look good having the big guy back this season. MRI results will tell more.

Aaarrrrgggghhhhh!!!!! Man this blows! Just when you thought we were in for a good season, BAM a critical blow to our offensive line. If his season is over, so are our playoff hopes. (Great its only week one and im already thinking about the draft..Aarrrggggggghhhhh!!!!!)

Getting ANOTHER Running back in Antonio Pittman was a Boneheaded move.
They gambled big-time by ignoring the OT position - and now team's are going to scheme to attack that OT. The Panthers didn't scheme or practice for that.
I said it when he did it - What has Linehan thinking?

Re: Pace Update from Glazer
Getting Pittman wasn't a boneheaded move and really has nothing to do with an OT. Who should we have picked up at OT instead? All of this complaining but nobody has any names.
The fact is there wasn't much out there at OT when we got Pittman, and there still isn't much out there, so now that we HAVE to pick someone up we will. There was no reason to not pick up Pittman just to pick up some journeyman OT when at the time it wasn't worth it.BRUUUUUUUUCE

Re: Pace Update from Glazer
I agree. Who out there on the market did Linehan ignore that we should have signed? Kenyatta Walker?! The pickings in September are slim when it comes to decent offensive linemen, and it's a lot harder to give some actual names than it is to simply say something should have been done.

If you lived through the year and a half we had a couple years back with the OT position killing us - it's a no-brainer. And it's going to get worse because teams are going to scheme to exploit that tackle position now - and what if Barron goes down?
Pittman won't do one thing for this team this year and we're not the NE Pats that have the luxury of developing 3 deep at positions - we are not that good.
It was a foolhardy move to ignore that position after Steussie went down - and it'll get worse - you watch.

Re: Pace Update from Glazer
Agreed. Complaining now about the pickup of a RB and not naming an OT they SHOULD have signed is weak.

I had to work and couldn't watch the game. What happened to Pace? Did he re-agrivate last years injury?

Let's wait 10 weeks and see what you have to say then.
We were not limited to getting someone off waivers.

Re: Pace Update from Glazer
But who should they have signed??? After Steussie went down who should they have gotten? There wasn't anybody out there, we just had to go with what we had.

Teams make deals and get people all the time, we were in no way limited to the waiver wire.
