Packers @ Rams 10/21 - Packers Fan
We will be in St. Louis for the Rams|Packers game. Just wondering how the atmosphere is at Edward Jones Dome as I have never been to a game there before.
We are Packers fans, but respectful fans, not obnoxious smack talking slobs. I assume the dome is like any other stadium I have visited as a fan of the opposing team and we are prepared to receive some banter and smack talk. I have found over the years for the most part if we're respectful to the home team fans they generally are decent.
Am I close? Or should we bring the kevlar and riot gear?
Thanks and here's to a good game!

I'll be very surprised if you have to deal with any uncomfortable situations at the EJD.

Ha! Fair enough, just thought I better test the waters before we show up and are surprised! Thanks for the feedback guys.

The Dome puts signs up all over for people to text the location of obnoxious "fans".
gap
Re: Packers @ Rams 10/21 - Packers Fan
You'll probably see more aggresive rowdy fans at a 10 year old pop warner game.

You have obviously never been a visitor at an Eagles game!

I've only been to 3 rams games in st.louis and the atmosphere is really nonchalant to be nice. When i went to a rams bears game, Bears fans call it soldier field south for crying out loud. I really hope that attitude has changed in the big easy...

St. Louis fans (Rams, Cardinals, & Blues) are a class act. There might be some friendly banter but, as someone has said already this is not Seattle or Candlestick. If Mrs. TorontoRam and I weren't heading to the EU for the Rams game a week from Sunday I'd invite you to stop by our tailgate for some St. Louis Rams hospitality. Perhaps next time. Have fun in the LOU, as some of us call it. The weather should be rather delightful for roaming around the Dome pre-game and post-game. Safe travel. Enjoy the game. And, may the best team win, as long as it's the home team. LOL!

I've been to games all over the country, and seen the good and the bad. IMO, the Edward Jones Dome is the most hospitable place I've ever been to. The worst thing I've seen there is some friendly trash talking. Well, let me correct that, the worst thing I've seen was a scary, drunk Packers fan lift her top in the stands.:D
Re: Packers @ Rams 10/21 - Packers Fan
About four or five years ago I went to the Packers vs Rams game when Brett Favre set the NFL completions record. Unfortunately that was smack dab in the midst of the Rams 6 wins over 4 years, and chants of "GO PACK GO" filled the stadium. I expect a much better atmosphere this weekend. As far as fans go, St Louis football fans are normally the same ones that go to the baseball games, where our reputation as cordial and hospitable fans precede us.

Uh that's terrible... I guess it could have been worse, it could have been a hefty, furry, sweaty gentleman giving you a show :)

Seriously. It's crazy how rough that place has gotten since all the thugs from across the bay switched to a winning team.
My experiences there have been awful the last 6 or so years. The group I go down there with are a mix of niner and Rams fans who are respectful, mostly quiet, and we keep to ourselves.
Our bad experiences have included:
*2 fights started by gang banger niner fans.
*Beer being thrown on me/us more times than I can count.
*Getting cursed at from the moment I step into the parking lot to the moment I leave.
*My sister-in-law ( a niner fan in a niner jersey) being slap by a guy.
* My 8 month pregnant wife being cornered in the bathroom by low lifes and told they were going to kill her. All because she was wearing a Holt jersey.
*Security being called on me because the guy sitting next to me was trying to fight me from the very second he sat down. His first words were, "I'm gonna kick your f*$%ing a%$ you b*%#h." Security thankfully believed me and I got to stay.
*6 gangsters pushing and cussing at me and another Rams fan friend, and flipping us off in our face as we were walking to our car...right in front of a team of security guards who just smiled and did nothing.
You get the picture. That place is a nut house.
