Re: On paper prior to the first game, how did you see the current Rams roster?
I thought they would have something like a 8-8 record

Welcome to the Clan , Berlin! I saw the Rams as 10-6 or 11-5 depending on the breaks. With any sort of run defense, we could have made it.

Re: On paper prior to the first game, how did you see the current Rams roster?
I posted 7-9 "probably", 8-8 "maybe", 9-7 "if we got a few good breaks and stayed healthy".
My reasoning? Last year we went 6-10, and our schedule last year was much softer than the schedule coming into this year. (based on teams win/loses records the previous year) So, I reasoned that with some limited improvements on defense due to our additions of Spoon, Glover, Chavous and Brown, we'd pick up a game or two and be, at best, 9-7. But with the schedule being more difficult, I gave back a game and said that I'd be satisfied (but not entirely happy) with an improvement to 8-8.
When we started out 4-1, I was fooled into thinking I was wrong about our guys, and we could go 9-7 or 10-6. Unfortunately, I was more right originally than I wanted to be. :\ ...and now?
We need to step up the effort if we expect to win another game, and finish better than 5-11.Faithful Rams fan since 1968

Welcome, I take Deutsch in school btw! You're so helping me with my homework!
I think that seeing the roster I honestly believed we had ALL the talent to go to the playoffs, but did I think we would? No. I know this year is a transition year, and at first it didn't seem that way, and maybe Linehan was the answer in 5 games....but obviously we're not going to have that answer for at least another year.

Good poll at a good time, frames the current debate nicely.
I thought that we'd be 8-8 or a game either side of it, so we're probably a game behind that right now. 7-9 looks more likely than 9-7, but then you never know.................

I agree with the majority 8-8 to 9-7 was where I saw us finishing.

Re: On paper prior to the first game, how did you see the current Rams roster?
I don't remember quite what record I predicted, but I think it was somewhere around 9-7, maybe 10-6 because of the schedule. With the 4 divisional games against Arizona and SF plus the games against Green Bay, Detroit, Oakland, and Minnesota, it appeared that we had a lot of easy opponents on the list. I figured we had a chance at the playoffs, but that we couldn't count on making it that far. I saw some reasons for concern on the defense, but I really did not expect it to be this bad. I have to admit I thought that just having Haslett as the defensive coordinator would make a bigger difference than it did.

I believe I predicted nine wins but said seven or eight was equally likely. I don't believe I anticipated us making the playoffs.
