Peek At Next Year
Based upon the way the schedule is made. I did a little peeking at next season, and how we could possible fair. As of now here's a list of next years opponents with 2 of the games not settled yet, so it could be either or. But I'll base it as if the season ended today. Next year we play.
Carolina W
New Orleans W
Tampa Bay W
Atlanta L (could be win if we have homefield advantage)
Houston L
Indy L
Tenessee W
Jacksonville W
Seattle 2xW
San Fran split W & L
Arizona 2xW
Minn L
Dallas W (because of home field)
Based on how we've played this year playing close games and even winning some close games. I think we have a really good chance of going 10-6 or 11-5. We are definitely a playoff team next year.
We just have to shore up a few things. Bringing back SJ for one more year is a must, draft a big bruising safety with decent hands and also another playmaker at CB. Pick up an immediate impact #1 playmaker receiver and resign Amendola and let Quick and Givens develop a couple more years, I think Brandon Gibson has a break out year next year. Our receiving core is pretty decent this year. If we can bring in a bigger body at Defensive Tackle to fill some holes, we're getting ran on up the middle.
All in All Next year is looking really good.

Just hope we don't crash and burn the same way we did last season coming out with high expectations.

Way too early.

You forgot that Luck will be going through his sophomore slump... so there is one more win for your total. : )

Re: Peek At Next Year
Gibson should be breaking out this year to be honest. I think givens has replaced him as go to receiver now.

Re: Peek At Next Year
I like the schedule based on what I know right now, but it's really a stretch to pick a winner against any team next year. Too many variables, too many changes can happen (good or bad) between now and then. Look at this year as an example. Fans of other teams in the division were looking ahead to 2012 one year prior and penciled in an automatic "W" for any game against the Rams. But how did that turn out when 2012 rolled around? Things change. Right now, looking at next year's schedule and only knowing what we currently have, and how other teams on the schedule currently look, I'd say it looks like an 8 or 9 win season, at best. However, I fully expect the Rams to get better next year as I'm sure other teams have plans to get better as well. Who knows? Fun to "suppose", I suppose...

Re: Peek At Next Year
You misspelled "hopefully won't be on the team" as "has a breakout year". Its a common mistake.
