Perfect game to steal a win @ Houston

The Rams go into Houston to face a team that doesn't put up a ton of points and who values running the ball first.

Houston has a QB in turmoil and not 100% healthy. The Rams defense can come to play aggressive early and create turnovers; this could be an upset.

The Rams aren't considered a defensive based team, but if they can hold the run game to a minimum they could have a chance to win in the 4th quarter.

We couldn't have asked for a better time to face the Texans. Owen Daniels is out and many other limping into the game.

I know Vegas has us +9 underdog, but I really think we can win outright if we can just score early in the game.

I predict that the Rams will get 2 passing scores early looking for Givens and Cook, and maybe Austin as well....

    and we win 27-24

this could be the game that defines the rest of our season...

They still have Andre Johnson.. I don't see the Rams winning, because the Rams have been ineffective on the road. Don't forget about JJ Watt who will be on the right side against a back up RT. I see Houston getting a "Turnaround season" win.

FWIW, Andre Johnson is a gametime decision with a shin injury (has not practiced this week).

We did fairly well against MJD. I say bracket Johnson and send the house at Foster and make Shaub beat us. Hopefully he throws us a touchdown or two.

We're talking about a team that gave up 20 points to the Jaguars.

    The Jags, really?...

I fully expect the Texans to get back on track this week, at home and angry. Rams may hang around for about a quarter, but I just don't see it.

Shaub is under the gun and likely will be timid against the Rams or anybody for that matter--advantage Rams

Texans still have Foster--considering the Rams haven't stopped anyone's running game, its a short night for the Texans to scheme against the Rams. COUNT on lots of A. Foster--advantage Texans

Texan's D isn't that bad--Rams ground game is AWOL. Despite the Texans over aggressive defensive pursuit, they still maintain lane discipline. Sadly the way to beat the Texans is mostly on the ground. The Rams can over come a lack of a ground game with their TEs--if they have in their playbook bubble screens which they haven't shown--TEs could run a delayed flanker screens--again absent from the playbook

Special teams, the Rams need not bother trying to return kickoffs. If the Texans are smart they would squid-kick the ball and force the Rams to play in bounds the ball and force the Rams into terrible field position considering the Rams inclination for penalties.

The only way I see the Rams walking away with a victory is if Fisher pulls out all the stops and Matt Shaub totally implodes because as easy as it is for the Texans to come up with a game plan against the Rams--its just as easy for the Rams to game plan against the Texan ground game and A. Foster

The only way I see us winning this game is turnovers and lots of them.

From what I have seen so far this season, all the Texans have to do is keep to the run. Schaub doesn't need to throw one pass in this game. The RAMS run defense right now is 30th in the league. The Texans hold the 8th position for a running offense. But, they only are a little better than the RAMS in rushing defense (28th). The RAMS will have to score points in order to pull this one out. The best offensive line in this game will have a lot to do with the outcome...

If we play the type of physical football we played last season and have shown in flashes this season, plus get our ground attack going to keep their defense honest and stop their running game, we can win. We also need to stop the horrific penalties on Special Teams as well as drive killing ones on offense. I'm not suggesting anything we haven't already done so it is plausible. What great time to put it together.

    Go Rams!

I learned my lesson on assuming a perfect game to steal against the whiners, who were injury riddled and in free fall. That said, I feel better about our chances with a team losing 3 games in a row and getting plastered last Sunday. I just hope the Rams are not once again the remedy for what ails a team on the ropes.

I just like to see on Sundays that we are competitive point blank... Its depressing watching your team being blown out week in and week out.
