performance of defnese and quality of opponent
Now that we have given up two 80 yard td drives to start the season (and little has left the game injured), does anyone still want to tell me how excited that they are about the performance of the defense against a bunch of backups in pre season? It never ceases to amaze me how much people overeact to meaningless preseason games, especially in the sandiego game when they had 8 backups against our defense.
we dont get pass rush and our secondary cant cover. Nothing new.
Lets hope we do better as the game goes on.

Really? That catch made over Tye Hill was just a great play by Jackson. There's really only been one play that I screamed at my TV because of. That was when Chavous left Pisa to cover the middle. I think the first drive was just jitters. Chill outtt. I like how after one quarter of play, where are defense was on the field for most of...people already make assumptions. Things will settle down guys. Wait awhile before you kill yourselves, plz.

How do you explain the complete lack of emotion by the Rams? (except the looks of disgust on Jackson and Bulger's faces) Or that pass Tye Hill just blew, again?

Three big plays..but that can be fixed. The one, Tye guessed wrong. And it's really only Chavous that seems to be hurting us. Tye made a mistake, yes.

Watching on play by play game day game centre in the uk. If we can keep it to 14 we can come back.

GC you could'nt be more correct.
No pass rush, no emotion, no coaching, not being prepared to play = no wins. Look, I love this team, I sit and watch and support them week in and week out but I promise you they will be 0-4 at the bye week and I only hope it will spur the FO to can this piece of crap coaching staff and get someone (COWHER) who can motivate this team to perform to their level of talent.

Re: performance of defnese and quality of opponent

Re: performance of defnese and quality of opponent
This is a clear representation on Linehan, and how he prepared the team. We look like a college football team. While I have hope we can do something and make it close, there are a few things that are evident. 1. Bulger is not the quarterback he once was. 2. Our line in poreous. 3. We have no receiver threat. 4. Our secondary is horrible.
This is clearly a team past it's prime and we need to overhaul them. They are making ridiculous mistakes. If they continue playing the way they are we're going 0-16. To me this team looks worse than last years team.
I expect a home team to take care of home but we are getting whipped in every stat.

We need to get rid of Linehan, he is not a head coach.

Re: performance of defnese and quality of opponent
Great play by jackson? Nice catch, but hill continues to show no ball skills of any kind. He was right on top of the play and he missed it. IT has been a LOT more than three big plays. McNabb is KILLING us over the middle. We also got very lucky on the non-INT call on fahkhir at the goal line. McNabb also misses an open guy for another long ball. This is a matter of personnel. Without Little, we still have no pass rush and that is a disaster.
Thinking this can be fixed easily is just wrong from my perspective, because the bottom line is without a pass rush we will be giving up big plays all year long.
