Re: Pisa no longer a Ram ...
He sacrificed his body for this team and never wanted to come out from games despite being in pain. We let go of a true warrior that would be coming back injury free for the 2nd year in a row. I think his contributions to this team would've been huge this coming year. Somebody better step up, and i hope its his replacement!!!!!... whoever it is.

Re: Pisa no longer a Ram ...
not extremely shocking, if you think about it. He makes way to much money to be a a 4th LB. He is 220 and isn't a good fit for spags on the strong side and maybe not the weak side either. He is the best defensive player from an old regime that has a crappy defense. I was talking about this happening earlier in the offseason, but I expected this to happen earlier.
If they didn't see so much in Lauranatis I think, Pisa may still be a Ram. A name to look out for to fill the whole on the strong side is Marcus Washington. Good size good blitzer and Spags has been witness to that

Re: Pisa no longer a Ram ...
I was shocked. I thought they were going to trade him, or use him as a rotational guy until we got something better. Pisa was 97% heart. I just wish he was bigger. I'm sure he will get picked up just because hes a good tackler. Good luck Pisa, you will be missed. Wonder who's next?

Re: Pisa no longer a Ram ...
I'll admit I'm a little surprised here. I figured he'd at least be kept on as depth unless we had a specific player we were trying to pick up and needed the cap space. As far as the why, I'm surprised some people are so dismissive of the size issue. To put this in perspective, Ron Bartell is listed at 209 lbs. To say that Pisa was small for his position is an understatement. It's quite possible that he was the lightest starting linebacker in the league.

Re: Pisa no longer a Ram ...
Well maybe he will finally, get the respect he deserves somewhere where he can be more effective, being the leading tackler for the rams in a crappy Defense of last year. i still respect Spags. But im torn right now, always a ram, but my favorite player is gone.

Re: Pisa no longer a Ram ...
Why is everybody so shocked about this? Just recently, a good majority of people torn him down in a thread, now it's like the armageddon hit. Look, I like Pisa, I could even say I LOVE him as a player. He's tough, plays hard all the time, and is a good field and locker room presence. But apparently he just doesn't fit into the scheme. So what? He's gone. He'll be a really nice player for somebody ...
Maybe Spags and Co. see something in Grant, Chamberlain, or Vobora that prompted cutting the big pay check. Wow, what a concept, DEVELOPING YOUNG TALENT!
Apparently, several seem to think that the Ram's are just dumb. Why didn't why trade him, why didn't we trade him? BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T ....
Think about it - he's simply OVERPAID. GM's all across the league aren't as dumb as many think the Ram's GM must be. They knew nobody would bite on a trade. So why trade when you know he is going to be a free agent and you can get him for NOTHING just by offering the right money and situation? Simple concept ...
Farewell Pisa, I truly wish him well in the league. Nice player, just doesn't fit here ...Last edited by RamsInfiniti; -05-08-2009 at 07:17 PM.

Re: Pisa no longer a Ram ...
The dude made all those tackles and yet I never saw him do it. Utterly invisible. Many were in love with Archelleta too. Goodbye mediocracy. Hello smash mouth.
Patient, not saintly.

Re: Pisa no longer a Ram ...
first of all i have seen him make those tackles. i watched the rams games on Direct TV. He seemed the most productive on defense besides OJ, and Bartell. and Yes hes getting a little old and the rams want to get young. It makes sense, hes just my favorite player. hard for me to see him go. but if we want to make a run for the superbowl. triming the fat is what we have to do. The old fat is what were trimming. Pisa was just to old at this point.

Re: Pisa no longer a Ram ...
Doesn't surprise me, the guy was undersized, big heart, but too small and not very good in coverage.

Re: Pisa no longer a Ram ...
I can see Spags trying to build a more "physical" team. With the exceptions of spoon and OJ, who do we have that is physical on defense?....I can see this team bringing the "hammer" alot more, this year.

Rams | Attempted to trade Tinoisamoa
Sat, 09 May 2009 07:48:16 -0700
John Clayton, of ESPN, reports the St. Louis Rams were shopping free-agent LB Pisa Tinoisamoa (Rams) before the NFL Draft for a fourth-round pick, but there were no takers because most teams thought the Rams would eventually release him to add more salary cap room.BRUUUUUUUUCE

I think we are going to get a DT before we start the year.Rams would eventually release him to add more salary cap room.
Spags said we are going to get bigger and we are.
