Play calling
Maybe we won this game....but,
Is is just me or was that some of the lamest play calling you have ever seen. I have TRIED to give Linehan the benefit of the doubt MOST of the year. But today was some of worst calling by an offense I have ever seen. We are getting smashed left and right in passing the ball and yet we continue to throw it up. Then, where was the outside runs?? and the check downs. And again no tight-end involved. Maybe I am wrong and had to high of expectations after last week.

Re: Play calling
Minutes after a win against the Whiners and we're complaining about something? Come on Jason, celebrate a win!

They can't pass consistently because we not only can't protect but Bulger starts to get gunshy after being sacked a few times. Six sacks today, 12 in two games against the Whiners. Leckey was taken to school by Young and others for most of the game. But we also can't run because our line is not getting any kind of push and is inconsistent at best at opening holes. Take away Jackson's two big runs and he carried 21 times for 34 yards.
If we could do one or the other with consistent success, we probably would. But we can't do either efficiently - it's hot and cold with more of the latter than the former. Yet we still did enough to win.

Re: Play calling
We needed more outside runs, it's obvious that our center was getting killed (Leckey?).

Re: Play calling
I couldn't believe he (Linehan) Refused to move the Pocket. Bulger took a pounding again. What the heck is going on here?

Re: Play calling
Yeah, I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth, but once Jax got close to 100 yards it just seemed he decided that the best course of action was running backwards. For those who actually got to see the action and not just a stat line, what the hell happened?

Re: Play calling
Come on Nick....
Did you happen to see the 55 fake reverses to Hall that worked once.
Sorry, as much as enjoy the win you have to be a little realistic.
By the way Avenger. I will never give in. No matter how bad this team is. I try real hard to support this team even when the chips are down. I may questions some things but I will never rally and persecute someone as long as they wear blue and gold...Linehan is a Ram and as a fan I have the responsibility to support him, cheer for him and yes even question his decisions. But never will I make a mockery of his name.

Re: Play calling
Jackson wasnt running backwards the o-line wasnt blocking. Not to mention the last couple of runs were some sort of delayed handoff to Jax and all it did was let the d-line key on him faster. He yelled at the sidline after the first two run calls and then they did a regular dive play and he got like 5 yds. I'm happy we won but the play calling was terrible but after the first drive our o-line stunk the place up. Hopefully Stuessie comes back and solidifies the line a bit more.Just Fix It

Re: Play calling
I agree whole heartedly that the play calling was lame. Where was our TE today? Oh, he's on Special Teams recovering onside kicks!

Re: Play calling
Pointing out the six sacks given up today and our inability to move our opposition in the run game isn't being realistic?
There's a reality that I'll happily embrace right now - the reality of a road win against a hated rival to give us a two-game winning streak! GO RAMS!!! :l :l :l
