Player of the game
I think it has to go to Laurent Robinson.
Way to make big plays when you need to, and nice snag in the end zone. He's going to become a key player for this team. That's for sure!
Honorable mention goes to the Rams defense. Though we let up a few stupid plays, we stopped them when it matters!
Sucks that we lost, but the effort was definitely there this week.

Devaney, if you care about this team... fire the offensive coordinator!!!!

Effort is good, but we also need the talent to be there when it counts.

Re: Player of the game
I disagree alittle with you, first when you lose, there are no players of the game,he did a good job and should be the number 1 receiver for this team, thats it,and if the effort is there on offense how come after 2 games the team averages 3.5 points per game, if thats the best they can do with a good effort then this team is in big trouble.

Re: Player of the game
We would of won I think if Avery held on to that ball. Great job defense by holding them to field goals. It is going to be a long process but we looked a lot better this week then last week. We are young and inexperienced but we will learn from our mistakes and make progress.

Re: Player of the game
I agree I thought the D showed some heart in clamping down and holding them to FG's.
And Robinson has been a real good pickup.

Re: Player of the game
I would like to nominate Donnie Avery for the Redskins mvp. He gave them the ball when the Rams would have had 1st and goal from the five yard line. He dropped passes and gave no effort on the long heave by Bulger. All he had to do was slow down just like his catch vs the Redskins last year and he either makes the catch or get pi called on the db. So while many love to blame Bulger I am blaming Avery.

Re: Player of the game
If you're looking for a guy who gave total effort despite taking a beating and having a solid game by the numbers, Bulger deserves consideration IMO.
I was thinking the same think jk, right about the time Avery made zero effort to adjust to Bulger's pass. I know Ike would have adjusted.

Re: Player of the game
So glad to know LRobinson is doing good to our offense. Avery will / should / must / can improve and correct shortcomings.

Re: Player of the game
Besides Jackson, Robinson IS the only bright spot in our offense right now.
