Please help (Parking/tailgaiting)

hello folks. I'm a little early but I'm a Steeler fan. I come in peace. growing up in the 80's my Steelers didn't give me much to be happy about so I kind of adopted the LA rams as my second team and then they started to go downhill and the Steelers started making noise again and my two favorite Rams became Steelers, Greene and Bettis.

I also I loved Everett, Jackie Slater, Flipper Anderson, Ellard, etc..

Anyway.... My family and I are coming to town for the Thursday night game against the Steelers and I was hoping someone could be kind enough to direct me to a good place to park/tailgate close to the stadium. I got stuck staying at the Sheraton about a mile from the dome. We're just wanting a good place to hangout with other fans (Steelers or Rams) and party and get ready for hopefully a good football game.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you bring your "terrible towel" you'll need something to wipe the tears after the RAMS manhandle the Steelers.

On a serious note.

Accross the street from the Dome there will be a large party tent set up with a live band and plenty of beer available. There will be tailgating all around the DOME.

Are there any specific lots you can direct me to... street corners and such. We're gonna have the whole set up... grill and all.

And don't worry, the towels will be present. Not sure how many tears I'll be shedding though. Although, as the Saints learned... the rams Offense can still light it up. I expect a good game actually.

I was just up in Pittsburgh for the Steelers Browns game and we did some tailgating before and sort of after. Rain does not really work with tailgating.

St Louis is not known for having spots for tailgating. There are things to do and see, but I am not sure if there are any open parking lots.

Pittsburgh is eliminating some of their parking lots since they are putting up a casino near Heinz field and my brother is bummed because his lot is getting destroyed.

Have fun at the game. I expect it will be a good one. The Steelers did not look that good to me, but Ben managed to bring them a win with some good running.

The lots that are best for tailgating are closest to the Dome. However, some of these lots will charge up to $20. To the east of the Dome (on the other side of I-70), there is Laclede's Landing. There are two parking areas that I remember there and alot of tailgating.

There are a number of parking lots where people tailgate so I'd advise that you drive around (early) and select one that looks good to you.

As mentioned earlier, there is the Bud tent where there is plenty of beer and Super Smoker's BBQ.
