Lets put aside all of our frustration for a while and try to have a little fun. I have posted the following poll question: Who do you think is the Greatest Ram QB Ever? I have listed the following options:

Re: Poll: Greatest Ram QB Ever
im a bit young to have seen old "stoneface" and the dutchman...even when they became coaches at the Rams and Vikings respectively..and infact ten years too young to remember Roman,so tho i have read about them and seen some footage of them strutting their stuff i cant compare them fairly so out of my own list of QB`s i have seen play in more than just clips, which consists of Everett,Brock,Banks,Miller,Green,Warner,Chandler,Martin,Bulger etc....
i`ll go Warner,i think in some ways Bulger is better like Young is in some ways better than Montana but well 41 Td`s in a season and the superbowl says it cant be no other!
still glad we chose to run with Marc instead of Kurt tho even tho it was a very bitter pill to swallow when he left...

Re: Poll: Greatest Ram QB Ever
its hard for me to vote elsewhere than kurt, I could not give a fair judgement on the other qb's listed. In my time only Marc and Jim Everett could be used for comparison, its difficult, kurts time was so short but productive. Jim's time a bit longer but less productive, but then He had greg bell Versus Marshall, no comparison there. Can Marcs lack of offensive line and lack of marshall also mean a fair comparison is not that, fair? But a ring gets the final vote ( even if it took an adjustment to an underthrown ball to Mr bruce to win it!).

Re: Poll: Greatest Ram QB Ever
I went with Roman Gabriel. Obviously KW will get alot of votes as he helped bring us to our only Superbowl victory.

Re: Poll: Greatest Ram QB Ever
Being a Ram fan for 13 years, I felt that it was mandatory to study the team's history. that two headed monster of Waterfield and Brocklin in 1951 was great, but for a 3 year stretch, Warner was greater. So I picked him instead.

Re: Poll: Greatest Ram QB Ever
The Roman General. :r
I'll go with Gabriel because in addition to his 11 years as a Ram, during which he compiled an impressive stack of statistics that you pointed out, he was also my first Rams hero (1965).
1969 NFL MVP.
He was the pilot of a fine Rams bomber offense -- Gabriel to Snow (80 yard TD); Gabriel to Pope; Gabriel to Casey. Gabriel to Truax. I remember those years very well.

Re: Poll: Greatest Ram QB Ever
Its a difficult choice.
Without doubt, from 1999-2001, Warner had the best three year stretch of any QB in the Rams history. However, from the standpoint of longevity, his time was too short.
I'm going to vote for Warner, but I will say this: Marc Bulger may one day be in this discussion.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Poll: Greatest Ram QB Ever
Bob Waterfield, Norm Van Brocklin, and Roman Gabriel are all legends; but in my time as a Ram fan, no one compares to Warner.
When you consider all of the QB's the Rams have gone through in the last 30 years, no one accomplished more in a shorter period of time than Warner.JUST WIN ONE FOR THE FANS

Re: Poll: Greatest Ram QB Ever
I agree 100%! I almost added Marc to this list, but I think he needs a few more years or a ring before he can be compared to these guys. And here's to hoping he gets it!
I know Warner only played for us for a short time but as we know, he accomplished so much!
BTW, I love your Linehan picture

Re: Poll: Greatest Ram QB Ever
I was kinda torn between Warner and Gabriel, but I started to think about just pure passing ability, and I'm convinced that there is no QB in NFL HISTORY that is more accurate than Kurt Warner. Joe Montana is close, but just take a look at Warner's completion percentage, #1 all time.
The Superbowl and rags-to-riches story helped as well

and to think no one mentioned Dieter Brock, I have to go with Kurt, because of the SB34 win.

Re: Poll: Greatest Ram QB Ever
Hey! First time poster! I'll say Warner. Can't help it. Everett is a close second, then Marc. The other guys played before my time. I came on board in '75 or so. I think it was Pat Haden back then. I remember McCutcheon and Youngblood and Olsen. (Merlin was there in '75, right?) But, I gotta say Everett, Flipper, Ellard, Slater.... MAN! I loved that team. Those guys should've .... nevermind. I'm sure we all know. Certainly hope that's not how the CURRENT team is remembered. STILL got high hopes for the current bunch.

Voted for Kurt, but I would have gone Everett if he was listed.
